Previously: 4/8/12/16 total charges over 2 seconds (2/4/6/8 every 1000 ms for 2000 ms)
Currently (retail): 4/6/8/10 total charges over 2 seconds (2/3/4/5 every 1000 ms for 2000 ms)
My suggestion: 3/6/9/12 charges over 1.95 seconds (1/2/3/4 every 650 ms for 1950 ms)
- Charges are granted more smoothly, gaining 3 instances over 2 seconds instead of 2
- Allows better flexibility to cancel it midway
- Slightly nerfs the level 1 early game 100 point heal for 50 mana
- 2nd rank stays the same
- Small improvement to 3rd rank (8 charges still mostly unusable for skill bonus)
- Improvement to 4th rank, but still nowhere near the strength it was when DM was released
Anyone who has played Drunken Master understands that Drink at level 1 is a very efficient laning heal, while simultaneously understands how very difficult it is to maintain drink charges for achieving skill bonuses though-out a team fight.
This suggestion aims to accomplish the following goals:
- Slight nerf to level 1 heal efficiency
- Small buff to ranks 3 and 4 for the purpose of having usable drink charges in fights
- Redistributes the way charges are gained so that the feel is more fluid
