    What is DreamHoN?

DreamHoN is a brand spanking new tournament series officially sponsored by Alienware Arena and set to headline at the world's largest LAN event, DreamHack Summer 2012. DreamHoN will feature five-man teams from around the globe facing-off in our favorite session-based title, Heroes of Newerth. Teams from six different regions around the world including North America, Europe, South East Asia (SEA), Oceania, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and Korea will all vie for their shot at over $60,000 in prize money and the pride of representing their home territory live at DreamHack Summer 2012 in Jönköping, Sweden. It all kicks off with separate North American, European, and Oceanic qualifiers starting April 23rd.

    How To Register

Registration for the North American, European, and Oceanic international qualifiers begins April 19th, 2012 and ends April 22nd, 2012. Players should assemble their territory-specific teams and prepare to compete in a two week long qualifier tournament powered by Beyond Gaming. Our global partners Garena and Ntreev are set to host additional qualifier tournaments in SEA, CIS, and Korea over the next few weeks, making this the biggest eSport event in Heroes of Newerth history! The winning team from each international qualifier will receive an all expenses paid invitation to participate in the Live DreamHoN Finals at DreamHack Summer 2012, June 16th – 19th. Additionally, DreamHoN will bring back the ever important DreamHack Bring-Your-Own-Computer (BYOC) Qualifiers, which will find one lucky team of DreamHack attendees fighting their way up the ranks and into the hot seat among some of the best competitive HoN teams in the world.

Guess Who Else Is Going To Be There!

The final piece of the puzzle will be the invitation of reigning three-time DreamHack Champions, FnaticRaidCall, who are ready to make their triumphant return to the Heroes of Newerth competitive scene just in time for DreamHack Summer 2012. Those lucky enough to attend DreamHack Summer 2012 will have the chance to catch the DreamHoN Finals Live from the DreamArena stage where the winning team will be named DreamHoN Summer 2012 Champions. As always, Honcast and S2 Games will provide live coverage of all the DreamHack festivities throughout the event. Additionally, the North American, European, and Oceanic qualifiers will be covered in their entirety by Honcast and through the HoN in-game stream viewer, HoN-TV. Stay tuned for coverage dates and times and while you're at it, check out the Official DreamHoN Announcement Trailer at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqPwRIrtoVE

Teams ready to take their gaming abroad and smash the international competition in the DreamHoN NA, EU, and Oceanic International Qualifiers should visit http://www.dreamhon.com to register and discover what it takes to be a DreamHoN competitor. Once registered, users will be able to create their teams after 12am on April 20th.

Is this putting words in their mouths or is it something they have expressed renewed interest in?

That's quite the prizepool. Hopefully this is the first big step in reviving the competitive scene with some fresh blood and teams.

I guess it was done right, as there are very very few teams that are capable of traveling there w/ sponsorships. Not sure how that will play a role this year

I'd suggest that entire game required 1.8 billion dollars invested so far (quite realistic), which is 30k per hero, but this includes a lot more costs that hero development.
(btw, I develop games for about 4 years)

    This doesnt make sense:

"Qualifiers begins April 19, 2012 and ends April 22, 2012. Once registered, players will be able to create their teams at 12am on April 20th"

So qualifiers begin before team has even signed up?

Are you guys going to allow independent casters to cast games as well? Just curious.

A partner in LA isn't entirely established yet. If you paid attention, their partners from the other regional areas send their team and organize it in their area.

Just one more benefit you kids will get when they separate LA.
