Drunken Master, used to play him before nerf. What's up with him now?
Hello. I was picking him many times before the nerf (Realy dont remember the patch number, but after I forgot about this hero) till today I had random while had to do smth out of PC in All Pick mode.
Dont know if its me, or this hero realy cannot take even nymphora with -9 pdef from Sol's and Shieldbreaker...
While I ALWAYS had about 2/3:1 kdr with DM - atm I did play 3 matches (2 won, 1 lost) and with my calculation I had like 0.5:1. What is going on with him? Any ideas what to do, maybe different item build or... Just dont pick DM, never?
No it's not you i guess (if your an average player).
Before the nerf i played him alot also and he was quite fun. Since they patched his second he is kinda useless imo.
I mean, i could'nt even kill a 1/4 HP cd while i was full at the same level and with the same farm...
It just doesnt make sense that you get charges AFTER you got a kill because mostly you kill player running around alone withbut since you cant even use your 3rd and 1st + ult while still gettin the "buffs" the second gives - hes useless. In ganks you can often get your 20 charges but then 4 ppl already died. wow makes sense to me (irony)
Pls s2 buff his second skill i guess only moon can still win with that hero but he is....different so to say and i guess he was the reason of the nerf

Drink charges nerf was done to stop him "self buffing" himself constantly
So you now have to decide whether you want to use stagger/lunge/ulti at the appropiate times
Personally though, I loathe the changes, drink charges are now such a hassle
I was really thinking to buy him today... I stumble upon this thread and I am glad I just took a peek in the forum before giving him a shot. I'm not a great player but... DM seems to be already a bit complicated to play with...now if is already not-so-good... I guess I'll just pass.
I don't think he's trash now. He's a little away from his former self, but I managed to go on a bloodbath streak on another account some days ago with him. He sure takes some more time to start rolling all over the server, but if you send him mid he should be able to do significant damage from level 10 onwards with his W and E maxed and one point in Q and R. The only thing that hurts him quite a bit is that you won't be able to make use of his drunk-charged ultimate in most cases so you will take full damage and might need some defensive items before you get sb, sols and whatever you want to buy after that (i personally like the critshard build).
I farmed helm + boots in midlane, tried to gank with a rune if I had one and went sb after that. Still works against most heroes...
i dont know you guys....but just after the patch i had a game vs a DM in mid....he totally destroyed me using devo.....i feel him op even with the nerf......
i guess you have to get used to the hero change.....or that guy was really really good
