Those are the dates for Dreamhack... 16th-19th June

The fact that the HoN community can be so excited for something that is not going to be bigger than HoN at Dreamhack (which was viewed as simply being standard mulitple years in a row) shows the sad state the competitive scene is in, as well as that despite Fnatic leaving, Tralf sounding off on reddit, and S2 getting ripped on the forums daily, it took them THIS long to do absolutely anything.
S2 should really reconsider pouring this much money into competitive HoN, the money is going to go to top teams who aren't even going to play your game competitively full-time, weaving in LoL and Dota 2 (trust me). Do you really want to shell out that much money to people that aren't even fully dedicated to your game, but simply want to grab the cash?

I think you'll be surprised at the amount of $ that is going to be floating around in Dota 2 and the sheer number of tournaments. My point is that maybe S2 would be better off NOT pumping money into a scene that is dominated by a very small amount of individuals- this isn't going to nurture the scene. Fnatic has already essentially jumped ship, and with threats from tdM and rumors of Fray, does S2 really want to get into the practice of giving easy money (that's what it is, look at the competition in the HoN scene these days compared to 6 months ago) to these players?
? Nice flame. My point is valid- this game has a large casual scene and the game is largely supported by it. Why should S2 throw money away to people that are just after a cash grab when instead they can focus their efforts on building a real community?
I'm not sure who you are trying to fool here. Why don't you go get yourself an original opinion and think for yourself instead of echoing all the people here that have no idea how real businesses function... HINT HINT: NOT giving into the small majority of customers that are not loyal in the slightest
I know that maybe you are in opposition to my comments because you and your buddies want to live in an ideal world where S2 pays you to play HoN; well guess what: that isn't going to happen (unless you are a top streamer) Deal with it. You are expecting an awful lot out of an INDIE company to simply cater to the top competitive players of a game that have so easily bashed the company running it.. A company, I may add, that has other business projects to consider, as well as its long term growth (as well as factoring competition between much larger companies such as Valve, not to mention Riot backed by Tencent). You are coming off as overly naive about how business works in this world.. and it shows through your extremely short-sighted response and overall lack of ability of intellectual discourse.
