Kind of a stupid question

Is Sacrificial Stone good for Ra? Obviously not until after you get your heart but is it a good super late game item? It seems to scale really well for Ra as long as you don't die. Why or why not is it good?

If the opposing team has a witch slayer, then yes I suggest Sac Stone for you as the WS will most likely try to drain your mana so your ulti becomes useless. Sac stone will give you enough mana to not have to worry about him draining you as you will still have over 50% mana.

If anything, you would get it early. If you get it really late, you won't accumulate charges and miss out on a large part of the item (like the possibility for free buybacks).

It's feasible. If the opposing team had a mana drainer it may be worth getting but you would have to pick it up early and be involved in as many fights and get as many kills as possible instead of farming up the rest of your items via creeps. Would be worth testing out in a no stats.

It's bad because you could just grab stat-oriented pickups instead and give Ra much more use (specifically nullstone or frostwolf skull, but mainly the latter). While Ra is one of those Rambo into dangerous situation kinda heroes, if you're playing him correctly he shouldn't be dying much despite that, so you won't really be taking advantage of the upon death perks you get for dying.

if anything you would get it early for the charges to snowball with; later when you already have a heart you really don't need all that extra regen anymore, and again just getting a Frostwolf would be better For the stats/huge slow(or nullstone vs mana burners as it protects you two-fold from them with the single target negation).

Tl;dr - there are just better pickups. Rush a core heart and the regen from sacstone is unneeded, nullstone gives more protection AND stats, and fws just blows it out of the water in terms of utility+stats.

Sac stone is only (ARGUABLY) good on snowballing heroes that actually need the mana regen badly, Ra DEFINITELY does not fit into this category (only decent ones I can think of are torturer.. and MAYBE repulsor/electrician/defiler).

Just focus on armour with ra. Its his weakness.

Sacstone is only good when you get it early into the game & I'd never get it on ra regardless.
It offers nothing but a lump of stats & a decent effect when you'd die (which is contraproductive to its main purpose of not doing and accumulating charges anyhow). It's just a bad item in general, in need of a revamp.

If you're having issues with being countered by manadrain/burn, there are other things you can get such as frostfield plate.
If they're really doing eveyrthing they can to counter you, you could maby go for a hellflower or hex as your last item to attain a perfect inventory, though I'd still only do so in extreme cases.

In general, ra is just a really shitty hero now since the nerf on his E. Ra was all about blitzfarming, now that this got a significant nerf, he's among the worst heroes ingame.
He's a decent laner when paired with another stunner to initiate, but that's about it.
Ra used to be one of the strongest farmers ingame, which he needed in order to be able to be a force to be reckoned with (similar to other heroes such as soulstealer, even though soulstealer still brought more to the table than ra did when underfarmed).
And justl ike sacstone, ra is also badly in need of a revamp.

forgot about SR, but in a lot of cases even if I'm the designated carry on my team I will not pick up a sac stone on him, would rather grab a Nomes+astro+vestments or tablet with that gold and just teamfight earlier. The amount of time it takes to grab a complete sacstone on soul reaper makes it almost never worth it IMHO, sr needs to do WORK early on, not save gold for a mid-game pickup that doesn't give him any stats. Just my opinion though (if you can get sac stone REALLY early on him then great, but then I'd question the level of the players you were playing against ).

I think nullstone or shrunken is way better. This nullify the skills and give you enough mana/life regen (for the null) you need. But, id still not recommend it. If you play well he wont even be able to kill you once. You should always focus on strenght and dps on amun ra.

If someone to make a list of the most viable hero to get Sac Stone on down to the least viable hero, Ra would be at the bottom. He doesn't use mana. The benefit of sac stone is for hp, mana, and hp/mana regen. As far as HP items go, there are FAR better (Heart, FWS, Shrunken, Helm, Nullstone, etc). If you're looking for a higher mana pool, then grab a FF Plate, since it stacks with his slow, gives an increased mana pool, gives him another nuke AND armor.
