    Conceding & RAP

What do you do when a player decides to intentionally throw by not helping, not supporting, and refuses to concede? We've all played with this guy. He's griefing. He knows it, you know it. But S2 doesn't give a ****.

After the game I've just played, it's pretty clear that either the concede option needs to have only an 80% vote at 15 minutes, or RAP needs to be expanded. In its current state, RAP does little to deter these kids from wasting your time and/or forcing you to take a leave.

S2, I CHALLENGE YOU TO FIX RAP. Stop it with this nancy system. You have other options besides handing out player bans. If a someone plays absolutely awfully, refuses to play their support role, does not participate, etc, you can take away 50 PSR. Send them to the lower brackets where those things are not expected of every player and they will be less damaging to other players' experience. While we're on this subject, I'd like to talk about your chat abuse section. Its terms are sufficiently vague enough that it is arguable that no player can be found guilty of chat abuse. If the abusing player is taking shots at someone's skill at HoN, they're disqualified altogether from being found guilty. There goes 90% of chat abuse. Why does this section even exist if it's half-assed? Get rid of it. Put a new option in-game for text mute. Put it right beside the voice mute. Problem solved.

And for the LOVE OF GOD, make it so that it's ALWAYS a 4/5 vote for conceding.

Denying a CC vote for the sole purpose to grief is a reportable offense.

The RAP system can't really do anything unless you want them to mass ban a bunch of people who don't concede. They won't do that as it's more work.

I think on your end you should try not to piss off the guy who plays bad or throws. You should be nicer to him so he'll concede at 15. Show that you're okay with losing and that troll won't want to waste 15 more minutes since you're not mad.

It doesn't appear in any of the RAP categories.

Don't forget the pricks in enemy team who refuse to kick him as well Can't seem to understand why people never wants to play a fair match. Sure I rather get fed by a feeder then being the feeder but the ultimate fun is playing a fair game where you cant tell after 5 minutes who's going to win.

Regardless, Sigvatr is correct. If the player denying the concede vote is doing it to spite team mates and is not actively participating in the game then it is a reportable offence.

typical baddie talk for a solosidelane or solo mid who gets trashed and dumpstered like pornstar in gangbang and want to concede asap because youre ashamed by your lack of skill/knowledge/awareness and want to concede asap. Also you are most likely the type of player that knows that youre trash but dont like to hear it from others, glorify yourself everyday in carry role and fail lh in a freefarmlane.

This seems like it belongs in the RAP section, but hey things to do with RAP surely do not go in RAP section...

I think what would fix a lot of thins is if the banning system were implemented with MM. That way, if a ban or RAP didn't go through or worked, you could still ban a player and that would prevent you from playing with them ever again.

-Spiteful downvote to concede is against the rules of conduct. This was previously addressed (found via search function):

I agree that this should be clarified further. I have therefore added it to the "What is Griefing" and "FAQ" threads of this forum.

-Griefing and MMR are completely separate. MMR is an indicator of skill. We will never penalize a player's MMR for violations of the Rules of Conduct. The exception is in cases of Stat Manipulation in which MMR's may be reset on a case by case basis if attained illegitimately.

-The function of ignoring chat from certain players already exists. You may type /ignore add PLAYERNAME to block all whispers, PMs, and in-game chat from a specific player. You may also use the /ic command to block entire groups of players.

-Excessive Verbal Abuse is still very widely used and to much success. HON is a competitive game, and as such it is natural for emotions flair up. Trash talking, placing blame, and occasional insults are inherent with cooperative team-based endeavors where teammates are often random strangers. The Excessive Verbal Abuse RAP category is for reporting abuse that exceeds what is typical and reasonable. Regardless of how bad a player is doing in a match, there is never an excuse to insult his race, make IRL threats, wish his mother cancer, etc.

Thank you for the feedback. In the future please try to be more professional, polite, and constructive on this forum.
