I'm pretty sure I can organize an event like this in about 3-4 months of hard work solo. Sup Phill? U bad?

I think that in the stage that HoN is in, HoN tour shouldn't be in a "league" format.
After DreamHoN, the eyes of sponsors are looking at HoN and its scene. They're looking for teams to put interest in and hopefully sponsor. But without any real confirmation that their brand is going to get the publicity they're looking for, they might vanish. If HoN tour would have been a tournament with a qualification system from different kind of events. Maybe the first qualifier should've been DHS and the last one DHW, and with some online qualifications in between. If a team would get just any confirmation of a qualification to a later stage in the largest to be HoN tournament, the sponsors would've been more interested in them. Imagine seeing a team doing really well on DreamHack and after that being qualified to a later stage of HoNtour. That is exactly what the sponsors are looking for, exactly that kind of confirmation to pick up a team.
what annoys me the most is that there is no word from S2 on this matter...again. i really thought we were over this not telling the community **** and leaving them guessing forever stuff. disappointing.

I have been offline from this forum for what... since easter? and still not any more info?![]()
So we are back to square one. No update for ages again. GG keep up the information flow :P
I disagree.
Sponsors might come and go, what stays is the competitive scene, and hontour should aim to improve that. The scrim finder in lockpick is a step, now start sorting teams by different levels and rating them in their particular leagues and you have a much better event for the scene than any 5M lan tournament could be. It should be about substainability and creating something that outlasts teams leaving, sponsors and names, something that encourages those 5 guys who've never thought about competing to get together and create a team.

Yeah. The Leaugesystem is great in that sense. But this were more about taking the DreamHoN opportunity and use it. If HoNtour starts in September for example, we're going to have 2 months were Sponsors won't look at HoN as much. Would be really great to give teams any confirmation, it would also stop teamleaving in that sense. But that confirmation can come from different possibilities, HoNtour was just a thought.

question: what will hontour save? will the decreasing numbers of international hon stop and will they grow like the sea numbers? is it worth 270.000$ to get like 1% higher playernumbers? i hope the director of esports has answers for us ... soon!
Phill anounced he had finished soontour a long time ago yet we have 0 information about what they're still working on and why hasn't soontour been announced after DHS...
It's cute that you think it's real.
"Our ports will block out the sun."
It's gonna come the question is before 2013? Phill said the format of SummerDream is taken from hontour and will serve as a test... It sure looks like this is just a tournament to keep people busy while hontour is further delayed. This thread was meant to feed us information and they sure did a crappy job at keeping us up to date.
yea so i allready knew that this thread was just the same as the one phil made before this one, no information at all being shared or updated the whole time, nothing new at s2 games, been away from the forums for 3months now and nothing new, srsly??? get your **** together, if you announce that you will inform the community about the process of developing soontour, then do it, if you do not plan to do so, then dont announce it, as easy as that
s2 games.... once again, i am dissapoint
