Game sounds working, No voice chat

So a few patches ago, dont exactly know when, voice chat stopped working for me ingame. I didn't realise this until a few friends asked me and commented on it.
I can't hear people talk, and when I hold down push to talk, the sound dampens and i even have that mic show up on top of my hero and bubble in mini-map but nobody can hear me, and I can't hear others speak either.

I've read the other posts, and checked the config and startup file, updated drivers, and also reinstalled HoN completely twice.
What I have noticed the second time that I reinstalled, when I went to Sound settings, I heard a static buzz through Headphones. I thought it was interference at first but sliding HoN Sound master volume up and down made me realise it's from HoN. Also, when I switched over to Voice settings or Graphics, any other tab, the frequency was gone. It was only when I went to the Sound tab.

I use a USB Headset, and Ive noticed that is in common with others who have made similar posts. My headset works fine with all other programs, teamspeak and skype too, ingame sounds all work, even announcers perfectly. It's just the voice chat.
:( I couldn't find a solution to it, and I really hope this can be solved, any help would be greatly appreciated

The sound dampening means that HoN can detect and use your microphone just fine. However, it's possible that HoN is having trouble connecting to the server on ports 11435-11535, which are used for voice chat separately from the game data.
