i always said and thought that too but at this point i don't think a 2 Million Dollar tournament could save the HoN scene ;(

In financial terms i think hon should be doing good enough to keep going for a while (now there are usually 70k players, when it was p2p there were just 20k usually). What needs some tinkering from hon is their point system (match results doesn't usually take in consideration player performance, but their are their main way to grade players here), and their in-game community (ragers, feeeders, smurfs, etc..). You'd be surprised of how many players spend $10 to buy a fancy avatar or a cool announcer, and games such as Dota2, well, is still on beta, but it has built in lag, and crappy animation (better textures, but that just makes it need higher specs on the computers, also is hella umbalanced, with 2 heroes being able to duo roshan at lvl 1), and lol, well, is lol, do i need to say more? If a game needs to be saved is league of lemons which recently (and that is actually kind of bad at first) lol players have been showing up at hon. As for the sponsored team issue, well, there are tons of succesfull games that doesn't have "sponsored teams"

I don't think they did, but there are no tournaments so hard to say, I guarentee they will be tagged and sponsored with tdm in HoNTour.

Guys get real. TDM and fray will move to dota2 soon or later. Everybody will.

$2,000,000 thats alot of money, and i guarantee it will defs bring back old clans (DWi, tdM, Fnatic, + many others) HOWEVER S2 will need to follow it up later like a month or so later with some other tournaments, not as large of a prize pool of course but something to keep the Pro players interested in HoN. Like $10,000 or something i dunno however all i know is that since HoN has gone F2P i hope that S2 have saved their money for tournaments so the HoN scene can be revitalized and be back the way it was like 2 years ago. Team EZ may reform who knows. But u know Chu will return cos hes always been in MOBAs for teh $$. and if HonTour delivers that then he'll return.

Fray can participate in Garena HoN which has a pretty good scene now... that is until dota2 becomes big in asia.
