Problem: Game shows disconnect symbol, randomly during matches.
Problem persists for <1 second -> 30 seconds+
Attempted the following to solve:
Reset Router
Disable firewall
Disable http compression
Disconnecting from game and reconnecting (This results in 2 error messages while the disconnect persists, which are visable via the log. reject_too_many_attempts, disconnect_client_number_mismatch)
There are no port conflicts.
My computer specs are awesome (3.3 Ghz core i5, 16GB of Ram...550 ti gtx)
My Internet package is 32mbs / 1 mbs D/U.
The ping test to the game server shows a spike. But not to the master server...
Anyway let me know if there is anything I can do on my end... I doubt there is.
I might try playing HoN through a VPN and see if I can get a different route that isn't laggy.
Thanks Guys

The disconnect - client number mismatch is either due to you trying to force-reconnect or an account compromise (someone else trying to access your account.) I'd change your PW to be on the safe side. As for the d/c symbols themselves, can you specify when this started happening? Your ping times fall well within nominal range.
Have you tried to ping the master server while the d/c symbol has appeared, or run a long ping-test while playing, and verifying either lost packets or an increase in MS when you do experience the d/c symbol?
I would try that and report back your findings - also it never hurts to fully reinstall the client in a new directory.

Hey,
So i reinstalled hon as suggested...and
I'm just playing a game now. Getting riddled with dc symbols.
Pinging the master server doesnt show any spikes.
draw_hostfps shows <20 ms

I didnt catch the game server IP.
I will the next game hopefully.
Playing a new game on USE 9.
ping lobby, 70-80ms
host_drawfps 8-15ms
Server IP: 174.36.224.68
Second game same thing... ping to server and ping to master server are fine yet the game shows DC symbol.
I should add that I am on vent with my clan mates, and I have no issue talking with them on vent...
You'll have to contact your isp

Are you seeing any "long server frame" or "assembled snapshots" in the console? Those messages indicate the server is lagging. Were your friends lagging? I don't see any obvious issues with the connection.
Hi Root,
No there isn't anything in the console.
My ISPs technical support does not understand the problem.... le sigh.
Thanks for the help guys, I'll just have to live with it for now.
Anything at all that seemed to cause this? Server patch, network change, etc?

Hi Control,
Nothing at all...It was mid-week (I think thursday 22th of March, when it started).
I am going to try playing through a VPN and see if I get any better results.
Are you in or around London perchance? None of the routes with reverse-dns results have London in their names, but there have been problems with the backbone since about that time in London.
Hi Root,
Yeah I am in London... You stalking me? lolol j/k
For now I have setup a VPN to a box in Toronto.
Playing on the VPN is much better.
I guess I will just have to wait until someone fixes their crap.
I can't understand why there would be such a huge problem...This city is a major pairing point for several fibre networks...
I looked at your IP and could tell what your ISP is. I hope it gets fixed soon, too.
It has gotten a lot better this week. Played a few games and only one I had issues with the DC symbols.
Sounds like I was right about it being work on the network as it's changing without you doing anything.
