Hey S2 just one question. Will you have some sort of special animation for this guy auto attack because you cant give him a minigun then expect him to fire only 1 shot that's just wrong.
Wondering who the hell thought that the ability art for "Fragmentation Shells" should be a minigun. I mean, that's the standout worst, but Bunker Down and Artillery have pretty mediocre art as well...
As for ability names, none of this is as bad as "Brain Drain" but there was some definite low aim here. I mean, look at a hero who was actually done well - Flint Beastwood - his ultimate isn't named "Long Range Sniper Shot" it's called Money Shot, since that actually has flavour. I digress.
As soon as I read the name World Of Tanks came into mind.
And another agility ranged carry?
God...
He doesn't sound like a carry. More like a long ranged nuker, you know, like artillery actually is.
iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiii![]()
This way of thinking is so destructive for good quality fantasy games. "Fantasy" is not an excuse to do whatever the hell you want. This game revolves around a certain setting, an environment, a lore. For the game to give the same experience and appeal to a solid audience as a result, it has to stick to that lore. You don't see battle mechs running around in World of Warcraft, or the world of Pokémon, or Middle Earth, for a very good reason. There most certainly is a "realism" in fantasy, namely the one that is realistic for that particular fantasy world.
They need to keep the agi heroes coming because they are way fewer compared to int or strenght heroes :/
Can't wait :] seems off in a good way
Why don't you guys try to stick up with the medieval theme? I mean releasing an ancient dragon like Draconis and a sherrif with guns right afterwards, a fox wearing a military uniform and then a fully functioning robot with random missiles and gattling guns is just a bit random. Seems like you're running out of ideas. Newerth is this place where dwarves and orcish creatures have invented guns while beastly humanoids hunt in the wilds and practice arcane and elemental magic, warlocks let demons pour into the world while there are races held in the savannahs each year, where japanese lore samurai and pandaren side with astral beings like andromeda and moon queen to fight against succubus and frankestein goblins alike. Nowdays its just about the profit i guess, and giving costumers more content to buy.
I think they should change the hero name. Maybe something like "Murderbot 5000"
Another new hero... Thats cool... But really... Can u stop for some weeks to creating new heroes and focus on balancing the old ones? Heroes u already created? And what? You think they fit perfectly on HoN? A balanced game is the number one on prios! At least it has to be! Otherwise... You are throwing your own game... And thats sad... for all of us.. Regards

You made oldturret a hero? And why don't the pictures ever show up for me? Nice job porting over Goblin Tinker though, loved him back in Dota
Wanna see Harry Potter kill his mortal enemy with an UZI??
Or how about Frodo flying on a JET PLANE to mount Mordor LIKE A G6?
Or shoot out of a HELICOPTER in CoD World at War!
THEN COME TO HEROES OF NEWERTH. S2 will make anything happen in their fantasy game cuz they don't care!
No thanks.
If your argument is "It still fits the lore," then it's a shitty ****in lore. Just as Lord of the Rings would be a shitty ****in book if it had jet planes.
The Gunblade alt made me cringe. I know it's COOL, but it doesn't stay true to the finesse of the fantasy.
I mean machinery is OKAY if it's clunky like steam-punk, but this is straight up borrowed from a Starcraft fantasy.
Fantasies have themes. S2 just lost their theme into the murky waters of cheesy Japanese anime where anything can come together.
^ no, that means it's just not the lore for you.
I think it's good actually. And you can't compare this to LOTR with jetplanes, just too big of a difference. HoN was always open to this. LOTR wasn't because it really tried to make it a medieval fantasy lore.
Yes which means that Robots and futuristic elements do fit in the HoN world and lore.
I don't think most people have even read the stories of HoN.
You should start reading the change logs.
They don't port heroes from DotA, they are not allowed to.

Apparently the HoN lore doesn't fit half the people here including myself.
It's great that people like this kind of lore. Good thing I won't be playing this for long.
Of all the heroes in the heroes of newerth, this one by far sticks out the most like a sore thumb solely because he is too futuristic.
Also, Dogkaiser said that they ARE allowed to port DotA heroes. They just prefer not to.
Except this is not a medieval DnD theme. It is post-apocalyptic, meaning this technology has been around before but is mostly lost. No one complained about Flint's firearms and flare guns, Flux being a freaking robot, Chipper's giant battlemech complete with rocket launcher, Doctor Repulsor in general, Master of Arms basically having Batman's utility belt, Bombardier having global airstrike and napalm capability, and Engineer's turret, land mines, and laser energy fence thingy. There is no reason to suddenly get upset about another technology based hero or to say that they are throwing lore out the window; if you followed the lore, you would know that this guy fits in just fine.
