Thumbs up Previous Infractions and Images in Signatures

    Hello everybody.
First of all, I want to say Good Job to S2 for the awesome forum. Also, this is NOT A QQ thread.
(yeah, I'm one of those who can't upload an image for a signature due to an infraction, but what the hell ?)

I wanted to ask your opinions about infractions and signatures. It is widely known to all players that have been around for long enough that this is a counter-measure for S2 defamation signatures and it is a correct measure that should have been taken sooner. However, why does this have to do with all aspects of infractions ? For example, I have an infraction for "trolling" in a thread. I may deserved it but I do not think that this should keep me away from having a forum signature for 6 months (until my infraction wears-out), because I was just the unlucky one who got "caught" out of the dozens who "got away" because of pure luck . Shouldn't this counter-measure be active in certain types of infractions only ?

TL;DR opinions for this new rule of the forum

*I read the new rules and I want to assure you that this is not a whine thread neither about my infraction nor about the new policy.
    I just want people's opinions, that's all.

    _________________________________________________
**EDIT** Ok, this thread is my fault. It seems I didn't read the rule correctly. I thought by getting an infraction you had a suspension for a forum signature for 6 months however, the right rule is that you cannot upload one as long as your infraction is active.
I feel a bit embarassed... HURR DURR....

A change in forum aesthetics should not be reason enough to clear an infraction that occurred before the change.

The rules state that any user with an active infraction will have signature limitations.

Actions have consequences, hopefully this will encourage users to act appropriately on the forums, even after active infractions wears off.

    My 2 cents.

Did I say something about clearing infractions ?
My question was : What's your opinion and if this should be a counter-measure to certain types of infractions.

You asked for opinions and I provided mine.

Past, present, and future infractions, regardless of what they were for, should have some sort of general (and significant) consequence in addition to any specific consequence for certain actions.

It's merely a safeguard to ensure that users behave.

WAIT JUST A SECOND. How can this not be a QQ thread when your name starts with QQ and you have a QQ avatar?

I like the rule Those that are active and useful members of the community get pretty pictures, those that generally have nothing useful to add to any post get punished, win win
Always blow on the pie. Safer communities together.

The idea is that receiving an infraction is a form of punishment because you broke the rules. Part of the punishment is the loss of having an image in your signature. Every user should be following the rules, those that don't lose access to features.

Great, another way for the mods to troll you. I'm assuming this BS rule was put in place to easily police the anti-s2 sigs.

Signatures can be a maximum of 200x600 pixels. If you have any further questions about the new changes, please consult the newly updated Forum Rules.

For some reason, apparently a 5 line signature is greater than 9 lines so I cannot change my sig. Whats up with that? I already hid my url's behind the lettering...
    e.g.
    My Suggestions!

Explain how that passes 9 lines.... The title is glitched though
