Statsmoth =p
Behemoth doesn't have the best farming mechanics in the game...he doesn't have a spammable nuke or the fast attack speed....or maybe it's just me...while i can last hit just fine...it all falls to pieces when i'm playing behemoth
keeping this in mind and the fact that he oh-so-badly needs a portal key is maxing stats a more viable option on him than his 2nd and 3rd abilities? I get fissure on 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th...ulti is picked at standard 6th, 11th and 16th...maxing out stats every single level until i'm 8 levels away from lvl 25..and get those 2 abilities pumping
imo this gives him the much needed stats in order to survive and hav enuff mana to actually do something...until i get my pkey all i hav in my inventory are :ManaBattery::HomecomingStone::HealthPotion::RingO fSorcery:and :stri:...sometimes i've got a ward thrown in if no one is warding
a friend recently suggested making a :RingOfTheTeacher: and i'm thinking of trying it out..also his second ability has such a painfully long cast time..i'm never able to land it correctly imo so i also do not find it an 'attractive' option to level over stats
thoughts?
I doubt stats is any good on an hero like behemoth.
You'd be so much better off by slowly farming towards a ring of sorcery and yes behe has one of the best farming tools, 2nd skill + 1st skill is like a whole creepwave.
Just get ur usual starting items, then boots -> either mana pots to portal key (roaming).
Or ring of sorcery and then portal key, also power supply is awesome.
late game...perhaps he can nuke down...but early on u gotta save those fissures for an enemy getting outta position and u trap them so ur teammate(s) can finish him off...fissure has a very long range and it's a great great greaaaaaaat disable
if some creeps get killed...good...but i would never consider using a fissure just to get some creep kills....seems very stupid to me...no offense meant
Lolbad. You lose a lot of damage + stunlock from doing that shitbuild.
That build is silly
Max your w 1 in q/e get ult and rush shroud then get riftshards and some doombringers
good times w>shroud>1 shot
You should post this in Strategy, not Training Grounds. This may give new players the wrong impression. Unless your asking if this is viable, in which case, you should phrase your post better to let readers know it's a question, not a suggestion.
That being said, early stats on Behemoth is PURELY situational and requires some advanced tactics to know how and when to do. 99% of the time, it's a bad idea. By not leveling W and E your are losing a ton of damage and stun durations.
Behemoth can farm very well and a PK and Ring should take you an average of 18 minutes under normal conditions. There are arguments about his build all over the place about maxing Fissure or Heavyweight first, both have their advantages and disadvantages. If you're looking for early farm, get one level in Q and W and max E, first. This will give you one of the best Damage to Mana Use ratios in the game at Level 7. You can then farm stacks with a Q, E and a few autoattacks (aiming your fissure to hit the next closest camp for bonus damage on the next stack). This will allow you play aggressive in lane (with a low manacost Fissure) until about 8-10 mins, get an early ring, and then semi-afk farm for the next 5-8 mins to get your PK.
That being said, most players will level Fissure first for the maximum stun duration at range, which helps set up better ganks. If you are playing a roaming and ganking role, maxing Q is your best bet, but it will lead to a later PK since every wave you farm will demolish your manapool.
very frankly speaking, i don't think shroud is a viable item for behemoth....if i can farm a 3300 something(i'm sorry i don't know how much it costs), i can hell easily get the 2150 pkey..and also it's easily countered...even one sensible player can totally dismantle me with an under 700 gold item...kinda bad imo
i like the Jenova26's idea better...i think i'll give that a go..thnx![]()
np, buddy.
One important thing about maxing your E that I forgot to mention, the TRUE benefit to this build is that it makes your ult absolutely crippling early on. THE SECOND you have PK and ult off cooldown, use your mic, get your team together and FORCE a teamfight. Very few public teams at lower levels can handle the beauty of an <20 min PK-Behemoth with lvl 4 Heavy.
Blink in, ult, fissure (AWAY from your team so as to not block them from following up), stomp, whack once, and run the f*** away.
And, assuming you know this already, but I'll say it just in case - the more enemy creeps in ult radius, the more damage you do (this also applies to enemy heroes and jungle creeps).
My Heavyweight Behemoth Guide, in case you're still curious in trying this build:

well ive seen pro behemoths/earthshakers get stats at lvl 2 and 4 while maxing fissure. Since its rare to get close to them to use heavyweight, the stats can be better since they give behemoth more mana to spam fissure for harass. Starting level 8 you definately want to skill other spells though, they are just too strong at that point to skip.
Key phrase there, "pro behemoths". Like I said in my post before, it takes some skill and coordination for this to be viable. In competitive HoN and DotA, Behe/ES is used to set up ganks. If you're playing Behe as a roaming ganker, then Fissue > Heavy since the stun duration increases. If you're playing this role with a team of people you know, then more mana for more ganks is a plus. However, if you're solo or dual queuing and want to win against pubs, then you'll need to be slightly more selfish, but slightly much more aggressive.
Check the math on the skills. Assume you have blink at 18 mins and you're about level 8 (2,1,4,1 - for skill levels); you will do FAAAAARRRRRRR more damage than 4,0,1,1 and 2 in stats. Forcing a teamfight at 18 minutes and genociding the enemy team is almost a guarenteed victory. Below 1700 MMR, most randoms in TMM cannot recover from a genocide at 20 mins.
If you read what I wrote, you'll see that I don't broadcast the heavy build as "the only" build. Part of the reason I love Behe/ES is because people argue CONSTANTLY about the "right way" to build him. There are more "right ways" with Behe than almost any other hero and they all have their pros and cons. Personally, I prefer the heavy build because the reward is far greater than the risk. Fissure build puts too much reliance in your team since you'll be giving them kills at the sacrifice of you getting your PK early and you do far less damage with heavy as the game goes later and later. Every minute you delay heavyweight and your PK means the less and less damage your ult will do. When you're pulling max behe ult damage at the earliest possible minute, your odds of winning are predominantly greater.
Like NO his 3rd is important as hell and by the time you are lv 10 you should have mana ring so no stats needed
