Hard carries are sometimes the way to go, Tdl, chronos, magebane, or just dominate mid and make sure all of your enemies are being ganked/surpressed

Go something like Pebbles or Fayde and just gank the **** out of everyone. At 1500 brackets they do not usually learn how to counter it before its to late and you're to far ahead in gold and exp.

    Hag / Pebb / Fayde / Ramp / DW / Zeph.

Go mid. Gank your ass off. Snowball like a maniac. Win. Job done (Except from when you go zeph, then just stay mid and win cause they cant kill you while you)

My current favorite is Tempest. Go opponent's jungle. Gank hard and early on both lanes you have access to and start pushing well before 15min mark. RoS->Plated->PK. Rest of the items depending on what you need.

    Legionaire.

Ophelia if you want to win them in under 30min via shrine push or CC because you're so awesome.

Oh, it shouldn't be too hard

I just recently became verified and I'm still positively terrible at this game, but I still think Cogz has a point

Ah, I remember my first games mid as electrician. I maxed grab first, walked right up or down the river, hit shield and Qed onto an enemy, watched the other flee and my teammates just pounce on the poor stunned bastard.

No resistance and no wards...ever :/

Rinse and repeat whenever you can

but that might just be my unverified experience speaking, and actual verified players may have more sense at the 1500mm level

Otherwise...idk Valk seems pretty neat for doing whatever you want at low levels just thanks to that leap of hers.

ophelia, nubs don't set wards so they never see ganks coming. But it takes a lot of newb herding to get the win. you have to make sure the newbs know to follow you around and just take towers. If you do this, then the enemy's crap team (probably made of 5 melee carries) cant stop the push, and even if they could, they would have to wrangle all 5 of thier newbs to the tower, which never happens as they will have at least one of they're carries farming.

CD and Tort, had around 95% win rate with them on sub accs in this mmr reach. 10 stacks conduit all day, every day.

Strength carries like Predator, arma, rampage work best.

If you're getting to lategame when playing deadwood, it isn't the hero that's the problem. It's that you didn't play good enough.

Zephyr mid, BH mid, Parasite jungle and Predator.

    Monkey King mid

Bloodhunter mid with Pr0dex... rarely fails in that bracket

You're not 1700 if you're stuck in the 1500s. I'm not a 1700 player (was ~1680 before the crunch) and I get out of the 1500 bracket in under five games in new accounts.

That said, ganker mids that snowball are indeed what you're looking for. Deadwood doesn't snowball. He's nigh-useless when his ult is on cooldown, and any herpderp can stack armor as a simple counter. Pebbles, fayde, pharaoh, tundra are what you want. Play the one most appropriate to the game, and failing that just play the one you're best at.

Like the person above me stated play snowball heroes that are useful all game, if you take a hard carry while matched with 1500's your not doing it right, for instance my favorite hero is monkey king. 0 team reliability and has everything that you might need.

Perhaps just making it harder to build would give other items a chance (even a wingbow has dancing blade - 3300 gold component). Another positive of this would be more options for Sword of the high; if someone sees you now with it, he knows you are going for mock and prepare for it accordingly.
It scales the MOST lategame, when everyone has a lot of armor, since true strike completely ignores it. It also scales pretty well with attack speed. More attacks = more procs in a given time frame.
