Yeah people also said moon was a trash player and then he suddenly bloodlusted notails torturer with his tundra at lvl 3 or 4? "o wait this guy can actually play?"
W.e we'll see what happens when / if they actually do switch and play some hightier games.
Removed a lot of off-topic stuff.
Also, GL Fnatic with the road ahead, where ever it takes you.
i have only had true respect for two HoN pro teams and that was MSI and Dskb for their respect and minimum roster changes gl with dota 2![]()
Dont know who they were, dont care. Peace!
I it obvious they will have to go full time dota if they want success. (unlike they announced).
If not i don't think they will be top team in 4 months (time fnatic's last team got before they were axed)
And who are we kidding, game wasn't even close. First 20 mins they were ok but that means nothing, as soon as Darer stepped up it was beginning of the end.

they are obviously going to go full time dota, and the issue wasn't that they mismanaged the little time they had before this game. They are just new, and missing nova, and unsure of their roles.
The only reasons they said they were going to not fully quit hon yet is because they are hedging their bets somewhat in case dota 2 goes really really badly for them, because they want to be somewhat gracious to the game they are leaving behind, and because there is still .6800% chance soontour will start before the end of days is upon us.
obviously darer was going to smash them. The fact that it lasted 36 minutes is actually a positive sign, and Era did very well. N0tail and fly did decently considering... h4nni and kebap put out big throws. Regardless, how you view this game comes down to how you view fnatic leaving HoN. if you aren't happy about it, you think think fnatic got smashed, and if you think its fine or are happy about it, you can obviously see their first game dota 2 tourney game wasn't a complete blow out and they didn't have a complete team (that roshan kill woulnd't have gone down with nova on their team).
Not actually true. I mean it's true they beat EG, but it was the EG the was comprised of YoDa, Fujiapples (who came back after 3 months of inactivity), Dodo, Bdiz and Riser_. Hardly the team that EG originally picked up at the beginning, or even a team that could be considered top 10 at the time, let alone top 3. Additionally, TGO met with zero actual success in the multiple tournaments they did chose to participate in; getting dumpstered by teams like unZ and Wahlin in the gosugamers tournaments they entered.
I'm not saying that for them playing for ~1 month it wasn't impressive for them to beat the shadow of EG as all 5 of those players are/were very accomplished. However, their "accolades" in HoN are seriously underwhelming, and not worth mentioning to anyone who was actually paying attention to what was happening in the competitive scene at that time.
No one cares about "HoN accolades", sorry. The only reason Puppey even commented on HoN was because he was specifically asked during an interview.
Anyways, on a more topical note; I think people are too quick to judge one way or the other. For a lot of you guys, it's either Fnatic is trash or they're going to get top 5 in the next couple of months. I mean, nothing wrong with speculating, but at least try to temper it with some common sense. If I were to make an educated guess, Fnatic will do fine in the competitive scene, they'll take away games from top teams and score some tourney wins, they certainly have plenty of talent; but it remains to be seen if they can transition into DotA 2 and put on the same kind of dominating force they did in HoN.

To me it says a lot about games being different and the fact that you even expected the team to beat good teams after only 2-3 weeks on Dota 2 says a lot about the value of your opinion, no offense meant.
Hell, read their blog, they said it themselves: they don't expect to be very successful at first, they're learning a whole new game, with different, even though similar, mechanisms, different heroes, different strategies, different gameplay (speed, etc.).
Blatantly false. You can't expect to win right away when you move from a different game to a new game, especially when there are many very good teams that have been playing and training way more regularly than HoN teams for almost 6 months now. And they didn't, they said it clearly. Fly and Era have never played DotA, N0tail a little I believe and I don't think Nova played competitive DotA. H4nn1 is the only one with a competitive DotA history and he moved after the others - according to BadaBing, who seems to follow them closely, it was his third Dota 2 game.
So no one expected them to win this. Oh, maybe they had a lil bit of crazy hope. I love Fnatic, so I had, but I also hoped that Hontour would come someday, sooooo.
Anyone seen Novas dota2 stream? funny how he struggles with the shop still lol but he sure has huge map-awareness :O give em a couple of weeks / 2-3 months to get top10
This discussion got way off-topic. Closing.
Please remember to keep all DotA2 talk to the Off-Topic Discussion forums. I know you're all excited to support Fnatic but please keep in mind the Forum Rules and keep that support in the right section.
