HoN-iversary Is Almost Here!

Its been nearly two years since launch and that means we have one hell of a HoN-iversary event to plan. S2 Games staff members have been hard at work planning an event for this momentous occasion, but we want your help and input to make this HoN-iversary one to remember.

Calling All Hopeful Event Planners and Clever Idea Makers

We want everyone to tell us what they want out of this years HoN-iversary, no matter how lofty or impossible the request. We will seriously consider any reasonable request as long as they don't result in a forum rule infringement. While we can't promise to implement every idea, what kind of harm does it cause to ask in the first place. Ask below and you may receive.

1. mentor / spectator mode now allows you to move camera on your own
2. More, cheap alt avatars
3. Change announcer on all random mode. It should say "All random" instead of "All pick"
4. More maps to matchmaking
5. More use to silver coins
6. More silver coins gain
7. More often updating "Ask S2 games"
8. Tell us on which heroes/spells from dreamsite you based to create new heroes/spells
9. More balance patches
10. More events

- Maybe release some special 1v1 map in the name of HoN-iversary. And/Or one for 12vs12 madness map and such for public games. Not necessarily for matchmaking. Also kinda mid-wars map is needed.

Probably is hell of a job to design one. But if you can do at least do 1 of those, I think it would be more than amazing thing and I'm sure many people would be happy with it as well.

Though the madness/midwar map would be hell of a fun one. Since people play midwars a lot in the public matches. Could maybe even implement it in to matchmaking just reduce coin gain or something like that.


- Enable the images in the signatures again. Or at the least make it so that we could unlock the signature slot with silver coins permanently to be able to use as many signatures as we want.

- Maybe make heroes cheaper silver/gold-wise for the free players. Or do another 10$ hero pack sale or something like that.

There is a couple of things I would like to see.

a) Maybe a 3 day preview of HoN 3.0. Because HoN 3.0 has been in the making A LONG TIME and we all are wondering about the features it has. So maybe release one feature the day before, one feature on and one feature the day after HoNiversary.

b) Another S2 games vs Community event.

c) Double coin week (this is a must).

d) Silver coin sales, Maybe 33% of the prices the HoNiversary week. BOTH GOLD AND SILVER.

e) Have the whole hero pool playable. And then one could earn heroes and avatars. Like F2Player would need to win 5 games with a certain hero to unlock it, then another 5 games to unlock the avatar. Legacy account would need to win 5-7 games to unlock the avatar.

f) New alt avatars, maybe 2-5 different ones.

g) Weekend of forum balance. Just a weekend patch where popular forum balance ideas are added and we could see how bad the 1300-1700 forum balance ideas actually are.

Edit: I just want to elaborate my suggestion "e" abit. It would last a week, the whole HoNiversary celebration week. The whole hero pool, except EA heroes, would be playable. And it would take 5 games to unlock a hero and 7 games to unlock the avatar. Unlocking avatar should be harder than getting the hero for a) there is less avatars than heroes in shop b) avatars are more expensive. Also I feel 5 wins would be "too easy" to get an avatar and 10 wins would be too hard. 7 wins with average 50% win would mean you have to play 14 games to earn an avatar, and with average game time of 30min it would take 420min = 7h to unlock an avatar. So if you would play alot you would be able to get 7 avatars during the week. 1-3 if you play less, which feels quite appropriate.

RE-RELEASE of ALL GOLD COLLECTION ALTS, since you have done it with Gladius which i WAS very dissapointed in and many people for that matter. but nevertheless life goes on and i request that perhaps S2 Could consider in Re-Releasing all gold collection alts with a higher price and GOLD ONLY like stated by DiVa because some of us have missed out on having the chance to purchase them since i am not a beta player. and WE would have those chance back. if S2 would ver kindly grant my wish since there will be a lot of buyers Craving the GOLD COLLECTION alts since its a very rare and high quality alt avatars.

P.S dont get mad at me since S2 said "no matter how lofty or impossible the request. We will seriously consider any reasonable request as long as they don't result in a forum rule infringement." and i dont think Re-Releasing the Gold Collection alt is one of the forum rule infringement so yeah.

No really, start a competetive scene plz. That means tournaments with real money as prizepool and not gold coins and mouse pads...

It neither fun that moon streams dota2 now nor it is fun to watch these tournaments without real prizepool.

It might sound silly but I would like some more ingame announcements. Some more narration style voice acting. I kinda feel like the background story and lore has gone lost amidst all the new heroes and alt avatars and stuff.

I do agree. Make it possible to win at least 1 gold coin per match. Would be so much more of a bigger relief for people complaining about expensive alts and EA.

Also that dream heroes 1:1 except for number tweaks. There are so many amazing heroes there but none of them really get ported full 99%.
