True at first time SC2 was Region Locked (talking about USA and LA) but players don't like this so started making petitions to Blizzard to change this and then they allow us to can play where we want, Blizzard listen to they USERS not like S2, enough said.Originally Posted by AzureAlain

Most of my friends are in latin america....I know its not about skill based or who speaks what but there should be an option to choose where to play. I love playing with them win or lose and ive seen most american players dont communicate as much as we do normally. The real issue is that we need to have options to choose as forcing people to do anything will only ensure hatred and from history itself teaches this. You may be "getting more players" but you are losing more of the loyal ones who make the game interesting. By separating servers you aren't exactly getting more people just segregating the older players causing people to lose interest. This also means that they are less inclined to not only play but buy gold for any reason, which since you need real money to buy it is a HUGE dip in the cash flow.
What the giant wall of text means is that by giving an option you will greatly increase recommendations from older players to newer ones AND get people that would be leaving from this change to remain by letting them play with their friends and possibly make new ones.
In summary, Please don't separate us....After all...segregation never helped no body.
What can I say that haven't been said before?… no rather, what can I said that S2 won’t see as just another complain from a member of the community that made HoN what it is today?
I remember when I got like 8 beta keys just to give to my friends and so we started playing HoN at the time, we couldn’t pre-order it but still bought it shortly after the release and we have played every night since then.
We have made a lot of friends by playing HoN and neither of them lives in the same country than we.
About 2 hours ago, we were playing and as soon as we heard the bad news we stopped playing to read the post, now we have no desire to keep playing. Yeah, maybe we’ll play tomorrow or the day after, but now it’s just a countdown to the day we stop playing HoN and move to a game that we can enjoy together.

I find it funny you guys still don't understand how good of a move this is to you since as of now only SEA Hon has any type of prize pools while HonTour has not even be released. Realize the marketing is in your benefit

I think it mostly attracts a newer playerbase because the new responsible companies do know how to advertise locally and are able to manage a competitive scene. According to 90% of the forums most of the people would be happy if there was another party then s2 responsible for communications, servers and the community so I really don't get why everyone starts whining now.

I don't think anyone really cares if another company than S2 takes over from them. What matters is that the players from SA and Korea are being blocked out from being able to play with the players elsewhere, that they have been playing with since they got the game.
S2 has proven time and again that they have poor communication skills with their playerbase, and often fail to take into consideration anything about their players that doesn't have to do with marketing. I.E. players would love to play <x> hero as <x> alt avatar. This idea will sell!
what are u doing S2? I am no Dota2 fan at all but... it will be the better choice in future

Bad business plan leads to bad decisions. I think they try to do what RIOT did with LoL, the difference is that LoL had a few million players before they've decided it's time to IP lock regions.

We are glad you wanna give US (LA ppl) our own Regional server so we can get better PING etc..
But i think you can't justify the BLOCK IP, this is a lame desicion.
One of the reason i buy this game (i m a Pre-Order user), was for the posibility of can play with other country ppl and can see how they play what strategies they use, exchange opinions, etc.. this is what make a rich experience of the game the fact of "VARIETY" cultures, now with this decision you are cutting a part of the game!

This is the best change ever. I can't wait to play with only americans. S2, manning up huge. This makes sense for everyone.... You play with your own people from your own zone. Why would I as a person from California, USA want to play with someone who doesn't communicate with me at all and is from South America?
Re-read that again... WHY WOULD I or anyone from USA want to play with someone who can't respond or communicate with us... Its a fairly simple situation that really makes me proud of S2.
Why i will not be able to play in USA and EU servers? I have a lot of friends in EU and in the US...
WE ALL WANT TO BE ABLE TO PLAY IN ANY REGION.
THIS CHANGE IS COMPLETLY UNFAIR.

Ok, I got it, it's all about improvement our HON exp and stuff but you know what, all I got is russian client which I didn't need at all, and 6k people online instead of 50-60.
S2, please, just answer, is it possible for you to make some exceptions and provide a way for people to play on your EU/US servers, and if it is, will you try to bring it to life?
