The thing that dissapoints me the most is their choice of partner. The LA HoN website looks amateurish, their emails look like spam trying to get a hold of your account, the forums look like they're based on a free hosting board, their promotional pictures look like something I could do myself with photoshop, the forums (in spanish) have really really low traffic, and to top it off, the moderators there basically don't answer any questions whatsoever. They just post "OMG SO CLOSE TO RELEASE I'M SO EXCITED AND SO SHOULD YOU (smiley face)". Then you read an announcement where you can be crowned LA HoN champion (Lmao) and go to Sweden to compete for the HON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE (ROFL most people in that site hasn't even heard about MOBAs T_T). But! All expenses to Sweden are paid, presumably by a nigerian prince of some sort.

What kinda dissapointed me too is that no one got any answers to any questions about the transfer whatsoever, but moderators posted a bunch of times when someone threatened with sueing, and only to make sure it's clear that should they try, they're gonna get legally raped, both by the letter of the law AND past cases.

If the plan is to bring competitive play to SA, then it looks like a half assed plan. If the plan is to get rid of an annoying subpopulation, basically giving it away to the competition and hoping you can get a few extra bucks with this partnership, then I guess whoever said that they were sacrificing the SA players to keep their NA players happy was right.

Unless S2 has an ace up their sleeves that we haven't heard of yet. Slim chance.

This is the professional company that will be hosting Hon Lat

Nice newbie fan design!, really, really cheap forum Design.

Copy/Paste of the original website of Hon Int

Now this is a professional company, clearly you see hard work here, not lazy work!

    Hon Korea

Seriously S2, make this noobs work harder with the presentation. When ever I check their website, forums I just have a bad feeling, a voice in my mind tells me "DON'T TRUST THIS NOOBS, RUN IS A TRAP!"

Isn't enough just to host the game, the presentation also matters, every detail. This isn't professional at all.

Summary of above - The accounts are not yours, but simply allowed for you to use to play the company's game(s). The company may, at any time, do whatever it wants with the accounts you play on, the services offered, etc. regardless of reason or lack of reason.

So the only way you could really sue and have any hope of being successful is if S2 made any agreement(s) with you allowing you to disregard such sections of the ToS.

But do look for professional advice. I'm not a lawyer. I've only read stories of game companies using their ToS to sue players and none of players successfully doing the reverse.

Edit - And I know it's very unlikely you'll get a lawsuit going, but if you do, please be careful and know what you're doing. If you lose, things are probably gonna suck real hard.

    C. S2 MAY SUSPEND, TERMINATE, MODIFY, OR DELETE ACCOUNTS AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON OR FOR NO REASON, WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE TO YOU. For purposes of explanation and not limitation, most account suspensions, terminations and/or deletions are the result of violations of this Terms of Service.

EDIT: If any future changes to this Agreement are unacceptable to you or cause you to no longer be in compliance with this Agreement, you must terminate, and immediately stop using, the Game and the Account. Your continued use of the Game following any revision to this Agreement constitutes your complete and irrevocable acceptance of any and all such changes. S2 may change, modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Game, including but not limited to adding or subtracting S2 game servers, at any time. S2 may also impose limits on certain features or restrict your access to parts or all of the Game without notice or liability.

    That may also be relevant.

I'm not saying I agree or disagree with the move but it seems to be happening regardless so I suppose we must all make do.
ToS' in general say exactly that, but the thing is that some terms might be in direct violation of the law and therefore can be overruled by a judge, as I've seen happen many times here in Brasil (i.e. credit card compannies charging extremely high interests over unpaid debts, even though you agreed to them when you signed the contract, in wich case the judges tend to erase the debt completely and even force the company to pay the person as compensation).

I don't know if the law works the same way up there in the US, but I'm willing to find out.
