Is Amunra a carry or a initiator or something else?

I keep getting annoyed by people yelling at me when I'm orange or brown saying that amunra was a bad choice. People arguing saying it's a carry, or an initiator, I must know, what is he!?

Also why do people rage when I choose him? I almost always win.

It would be like the difference between a blue that picks a support Ophelia and an orange that picks an EW to go on the solo lane available; Ophelia will enable EW to get kills and generally succeed in a lane, but to see that a worse player is taking advantage of your labors at virtually no expense can be infuriating. Furthermore, this EW will transition into an important carry, and will attain a large amount of unearned credit for his role in the game; the blue Ophelia will also probably do well, but it is unlikely that she will get as much affirmation as the EW. So; this Oph, with 1/1/20 and an APM of 200, will be shown up by an EW with 16/6/7 at barely 60 APM. I know a lot of people that would at least be annoyed in such a situation.

Ra is a (soft) carry by virtue of the fact that he has one of the easiest routes to high GPM of any hero. To be perfectly honest, if I have to have a brown player carrying, I'd rather they pick Ra than someone like Flint.

Tanky, Nuker/Ganker, Magic Damage Semi/Hard Carry depending in how you build him.

For Example he's one of the best in AoE Damage with a Tempest Partner.
Normally you will need a good partner to initiate by Stunning or Immobilizing, giving you time for positioning and Meteor Landing.

Ra is badass role. Builds full tank items and runs around with a free mock and pebbles level nuking. He even farms piss easy because your health regen gear tops you up between nukes, which annihilate creep waves the entire game.

He's sustained magic damage IMHO. He works a lot better as next man in after the initiation rather than as the initiator. Unless you're jumping out of the fog on top of opponents who are standing still for some reason, you can't really expect to land stuns on more than one person when acting as initiator for a team fight (and often not even that, if your opponents have better reflexes than you, given the huge audible warning they're given). Whereas if you follow up after a "true" PK initiation, like what might be done by a legionnaire or a tempest, you can wipe their team.

Ra can be quite everything besides disabler and hard carry. He can initiate, however there are more qualified heroes for this job. Hes good nuker/ganker, cause of insane burst and even after nerfs he is still good enough in farming to compensate a bad early game or to get some kind of item carry (while his scaling ability wont do the trick here, its dmg items).
hes basicly a strong all-rounder....
