    Moraxus 's Quake [Q]

    Hello readers,

    Recently, we have heard many complaints about Moraxus 's Quake, a decent stun but seems to be worse than Pestilence 's counterpart. For that reason, I was wondering why we shouldn't modify Quake so that Moraxus would have his own unique stun as well as a better synergy with his other abilities. And finally the idea came !

    Let's start the discussion with a small comparison:

    Quake:
    Type: Magic
    Radius: 300
    Cast Time: 0.5 Seconds
    Mana Cost: 90 / 105 / 120 / 135
    Cooldown: 12.0 Seconds
    Required Level: 1 / 3 / 5 / 7
    Activation
    Deals 100 / 150 / 200 / 250 Magic Damage to enemy units in radius and stuns them for 1.75 / 2 / 2.25 / 2.5 seconds.

    Impale:
    Type: Magic
    Radius: 350
    Cast Time: 0.5 Seconds
    Mana Cost: 80 / 95 / 105 / 115
    Cooldown: 8.0 Seconds
    Required Level: 1 / 3 / 5 / 7
    Activation
    Stuns targets in radius for 1 / 1.5 / 2 / 2.5 second(s), damages them for 50 / 100 / 150 / 200 Physical Damage, and slows their Movement Speed by 20% for an additional two seconds after the stun.


    Both of them have the same cast time, same Stun Duration (Level 4). However, Pestilence 's Impale has better AoE, lower Manacost, lower Cooldown, and an additional slow. To trade-off, Quake gets 50 more damage and is Magic-type. The higher Stun Duration at Level 1 can also be considered.

    Despite some differences, Quake is still too similar with Impale. And if one of the two must be chosen, Impale is obviously preferred.

    So here is the most important part of the thread: My Quake Suggestion:


    New Quake

    Type: Magic
    Radius: 400
    Cast Time: 0.5 Seconds
    Mana Cost: 95 / 110 / 125 / 140
    Cooldown: 13.0 Seconds
    Required Level: 1 / 3 / 5 / 7

    Activation
    Pull all enemy units in 400 Radius to Moraxus 's position, deals 80 / 130 / 180 / 230 Magic Damage and stuns them for 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 / 2.25 seconds.

    What had I done to this ability ?

    I improve its AoE, increase its manacost/cooldown a little, tweak the Damage/Stun numbers and add an additional effect.

    Why had I done this ?

    To improve his Quake and provide synergy with Ultimate, that's all. Here are some justifications:


    _ Increased AoE so it can hit more enemies. The old 300 AoE was too small for such a zero-mobility hero like Moraxus.

    _ Increased Manacost/Cooldown to balance the skill. For any people who say Moraxus will run out of mana faster, I will give them a big "NOPE!". With the increased AoE, Moraxus no longer have to rush a Portal Key and this saved him 75 Precious Mana in Early/Middle Game !!! Still, this hero need Portal Key to combat well, but he doesn't need to rush it as fast as possible like before.

    _ Lower Damage and Stun to balance the skill.

    _ The "Pulling" effect have a great synergy with his Ultimate, since he can suck opponent in, pump the Matraxe and explode it at extreme efficiency.

    Personal experience - Ending

    I have been playing Moraxus for a very long time, enough to find out every strength as well as every weakness this hero has. With this change, I hope Moraxus can appear more frequently in draft. Moreover, competitors will have to think carefully between choosing Moraxus or Pestilence.

    forced synergy, but still a gd idea and we may hopefully see some increase in maroxus appearances in-game

    Bad idea. He is hard to play, thats why I love him. He dont need change, maybe just a bigger AoE, like 350.

    Yes of course you can imagine it a combination.

    I'm pretty sure you will also treat Gunblade 's Grappling Shot as a mix of 's Wrath of the Pharaoh and 's Swarm .
