Scope: adds stats and additional range to ranged heroes
Recipe: 1500g / Upgraded once
Scope: +4 all stats +50 attack range / additional +1 to all stats +50 attack range
Idea was brought up in the general disscussion, was told to bring it here to see what people make of it. sorry if ive not done the post correctly, as im rather tired and rushed it to get to bed.
Clarifications: Heroes with 600 attack range do not get any additional range.
Heroes with 550 attack range will not benefit from upgrading. eg: Flux
600 attack range is the limit the item can provide.
Does not effect other concepts such as cast range, auto attacks only.
does not turn melee heroes ranged...obviously.

Just no. The item wouldnt serve its true purpose of giving more range in laning phase to those heroes who are having a hard time last hitting. It´s just too expensive. The usual boots farming time is 5-6min, if you manage to farm 1500g in that time, then you dont need this item anyway. If it takes you 10min to farm this amount of gold, well then its already too late to get it.
MQ would definitely love this item, because its a hero with such devastating auto attack, but it would be too dominant. MQ is a lesser picked carry because the team needs to build around her, not because she´s bad. She needs a full ranged babysitter to get farm, unless your opponents are bad.
There are just some items we dont need in the game, this is one of them.
I see your point. but that isnt even the reason why to buy it. you use it to put distance between yourself and the enemies in team fights, mq is squishy even when geared well. get in close to mq, and you can **** her over everytime, this gives that needed range to equal the playing field in that situation.
Put flint in for example, how would he be without his range increasing passive? he is above all the most squishy, he would get crushed and shut down with ease all the time. so why should mq not be able to edge a little more range in? or any other hero with short atk range? your point is fairly understandable but it isnt reason to say a no to an item, if it was, half the items we see in this game wouldnt exist.
Mokywoky, no offense, but you dont have a clue about how MQ works (which you also clearly show in the other thread. And yes, what I said are all the reasons you need, to not have the item in the game. It´s either useless, overpowered or retardedly overpowered. There´s no balance with this item.
I wouldnt judge by rating, but if thats your main account, I´d say you dont know anything about teamfights and making a proper team, not just the regular pubtrain. Thats why you cant see MQ's current potential.
I play MQ often, I know she has potential, but will never be a competitive, their is to many carries that do the job better.
*Sigh*. Yes I read your suggestion, and it doesnt matter how you modify it, its the adding range part that doesnt work. The heroes with shorter range often do more dmg or have other means of doing damage, unless they´re support.
Succu vs tor: Pretty equal, tor has 100 more range, succu does more dmg. Equal fight. If you add 100 range to succu it becomes unbalanced, cause she was already stronger in a fist fight, now she can just make sure to reach tor everytime.
Then the other problem comes in: Can you even acquire it at the right time?
Make it available at a price you can afford from start and it becomes op, it also makes the game easier, cause people can now mindlessly pick lower ranged heroes without worrying about being outharassed.
Make it cost 1500g, and you´ll have to choose between boots and this, thus leaving it as a mid to late game item, which would make it too cheap.
Then the last problem: Which heroes does it even suit?
It´d be expensive, which means its a carry item. Then lets count the carries who´d actually benefit from farming (3k+ gold?) this:
Moon Queen, primary target for this item yes? Its like your only argument.
Corrupted, even though he has less than 500 range, he needs to almost be in melee for his conduit to charge.
Andro was mentioned somewhere, but she´s not a carry. And no, she cant carry, only in trash games.
Thunderbringer, he doesnt auto attack for dmg.
Doctor repulsor, perhaps, but he also needs to be close on his targets to stun and use MC.
Succubus, not a carry.
Artesia, like thunderbringer, she uses spells to do dmg.
Midas, perhaps, but he has better items to get.
Flux, has better items to get and he gets more range anyway.
With this I leave this thread, cause I know it will never be implemented, and the only hero who´d actually benefit from this is MQ.
Now say again that a range item should be implemented in the game for the sake of just one hero, and people are allowed to call you full-retard
