S2, any chance you could feature this guide in game under the announcements? Not a lot of people read the (compared to player base).
HoN Passion Cast and more! Visit my stream for a full schedule: Twitch.tv/DrakeGaming
Good guide, reminds me of the Bro Code that was done a while back by I believe Broseph.
Has a rubber duck named "Mr. Quackers."
Rudra || Plaguebringer || Bastion || Castor/Pollux || Arcane Assassin || Smoke
Blog yo
its done by the same guy, i think i read that somewhere in the post.
Very nice read indeed, thank you for actually making a useful guide... actually the best iv seen in a very very long time.
Whether or not it is a suicide lane, this is what people do not get:
"Accepting defeat: If you know from start, you cannot win the lane – then don’t even try to. It will only lose you HP. If you cannot win the lane, or even get experience / gold, there’s only one way to go: accept it. Don’t even try to lane if you can’t, it will only make them feed on you. Instead, do your best to secure experience. "
Though it won't always be "from start."
Very interesting, thanks for sharing. =)
You don't accept donations? Is that like in the South Park episode where Cartman owns an amusement park but announces that no one may enter, and in the end that makes everyone want to get inside? =P
Small typo I picked up while reading:
Steamboots vs Ghostmarchers?:
Steamboots: +10 Chosen Stats & +30 IAS (+25 IAS) – Useful VS High burstdamage teams, or PKEY-initiators (Pebbles)
Ghostmarchers: +24 Damage, High MS increase on activate. Great for ensuring lasthits early all.
Ø Matter of preference and playstyle. However, if your hero is melee and has IAS-based procs like Chronos, or if your opponents has plenty of instant burst, damage – Get Steamboots.
Very serious question... Why make this guide at all for 1800+ players? Do you honestly think we are going to read this and go, OHH YEAH THAT'S WHAT I HAVE BEEN DOING WRONG!! We wouldn't ever do thatI was trying to find even one thing that I didnt know, or had forgotten, or was not sure of. And it's all too basic and generic. I was hoping to see some full team lineups and descriptions that I could try out with friends. For instance, an exact lineup to counter a strong push team along with suggested items for that match up. High level players know what to do already, what we could benefit from is something that specifically says try this lineup because of X, Y, and Z reasons.
I am not trying to sit here and bash you, because I am sure someone will benefit greatly from this. But it won't be any high level player. It just seemed like a waste of time to try and tailor any part of this towards advanced gameplay...

Hi Colin
No, i don't feel offended or bashed at all- your point is very valid.
I completly agree with you.
Please remember, however- that the high level players you are talking about, is only 3-5 % of the entire community, and i can assure you that less than 10 % of those will actually sit down and read guides / theories.
Result: 0,3 - 0,5% of the honcommunity will actually have read what i've been writing.
I am not implying that i will never do something like that.. I'm just saying that it would be very few people benefitting from them, and it will be a big hazzle keeping it updated with the changing in items and metagame.
> If you honestly haven't learned anything, or found something you might have forgotten- then i sallute you.
Personally, i learned a lot myself from writing this. I truely pondered a lot about sooo many things before i wrote it down.
To everyone else:
Thank you so much for the very kind feedback. I am appreciating all of it.
> I have been receiving quite a bit of PM's regarding whether people are allowed to publish this guide elsewhere- and i can say to all of you: You are more than welcome to. This guide is not affected by copyright in any way. I do however, encourage you to give credit where credit is due.
The future: I have received quite a bit of suggestions for additions or replacements for the guide, which i have given quite some thought.
You can expect a bit of added/edited things today :-)
