Your team is dead and some Witch Slayer thinking he can solo defend mid rax like a ****ing boss when the enemy team is doing a five man push.
"Oh ill just walk up here and throw a stun, than will scare them off... !" Oh wait, you just got a hammer throw smashed through your ****ing face and died. SURPRISE! They dont give a **** about you. You're ez stats to feed off of.
The rest of the team respawns and now has to do a 4v5.
Unless you can nuke down the entire wave from a safe distance, you should just get the **** back and let them have whatever they can take before you're up to full strength to fight again.

Actually usually your not even that lucky, everyone else will do the same thing. Go in one at a time and they get picked off with ease and you can turn a one rax situation into mega creeps by doing that
Its all just panic, they see rax falling so the figure "Lets try and stop them" when you should wait for your team like you said.

No problem here folks, the extra couple seconds Fortification saved us on that lane tower was totally worth it.

you can and I have. especially with tanky heros. Rax at half hp team up in 8 seconds? yeah, i'll dive in as zephyr. They collapse on me, team rezzes, rax is saved.
i've saved the rax plenty of times by making them chase me, dying, and giving my team much needed seconds to rez and fight them off. but then again, i have a feeling you're talking about a lost game already, where you're being stomped. at that point, why would it matter to you if a guy feeds or not?
He is talking about a team fight that might have happened and they were wiped based one a mistake or 2, and the witch slayer lived. or spawned faster
at this poiint rax is almost dead, the very first one i would assume. and the team is up in 20 seconds. The witch slayer goes in and kills himself, when they could have easily saved the rax with low hp as a team, or lose the rax and hopefully genocided or defended their side from further destruction to get back into the game. If the witch slayer charges in and dies, then its 4v5 and when that happens, they cant further defend..
The game didn't have to be over. They might have lost a teamfight in a balanced game, and they needed those CC from WS for the next fight. It's not like WS could distract them for long; one stun, a few autos and he's done.

OP here are some more.
Tping to a tower that 5 enemy is pushing and not canceling the TP coz u spent 135 gold then saying 'omg team help?'
Pushing a tower as a team, breaking it even killing one guy but how dare you all go back even with 200 hp's no mana. The other team comes and collects.
Killing the enemy at their base and going back coz 'low mana'.
These are all lower tier games.
Once they start seeing overtime this stuff is bad they correct for it and get better.
Conversely,
If witchslayer stays in the fountain, brown/OJ will say "NOOB WS, DON'T JUST STAND THERE DO SOMETHING TO STOP THEM ZZZZZZZZZZZ".
This will pressure him into trying it anyway ending in the same situation.
