FPS sundely drops

Hey !

I play HoN since the begining and i never had big troubles with the game.
However theres more than a month already that i'm having some strange problems.
When i'm playing my FPS sundely drops without any reason, and to fix that the only thing that works is restarting my pc.
I was thinking the problem was my Video Card but i just bought a new one (GeForce GTS 450) and the problem still persists.

I've read the other posts, and looks like many people have the same issue without any solution, I hope we can solve mine ...

Can you try a clean reinstall? Make sure all HoN files are gone before reinstalling.
Also try running with you antivirus/firewall disabled. If it works, add a read-scan exception for all HoN files. You may have to add the exception depending on your AV in addition to disabling.

I just formated my pc, reinstalled everything and the problem still persists.
I also tried to install the 260.99 WHQL patch, but look like i can't install it.
It says it's not compatible, but that's not the case.

You should definitely try to get your drivers up-to-date. They are here http://www.nvidia.de/object/win7-win...driver-de.html . If you got 32-bit Windows just replace it in the URL =)

Actually my video driver is up-to-date.

What version of the 260.99 drivers are you attempting to install? The 32-bit version or the 64-bit?

I tried to install this version http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-wi...ql-driver.html but say it's not compatible, when it should be.
The Windows i use is 64-bit and my Graphic Card is Geforce GTS 450 so i can't see why it don't work.

Nvidia support will have to help you with the nvidia drivers install issue. Also, make sure that your gpu isn't overheating.

What can i do to see if my gpu is overheating or not ?

Ok, i just downloaded one SpeedFanand look like i'm having some temperature issues ..
I cleaned my pc and the temperature lowered, but i still need to do somethign else like change my cooler CPU.

As soon as i fix that i'll come back to say if it was the problem, thanks in advance !

The nvidia control panel should show the temperature probe measurements.

I didn't change anything on my pc, didn't buy anything new, however since i got the update with new Rampage avatar i didn't had anymore trouble with FPS lags.
