With the introduction of spellshards, and the limited hero pool that can use sotm , it seems to be ignored now. I mean, what's the latest hero release that gets use out of sotm?
I'd like to see behe and pebs get some use out of it, like they do in Dota.
Who get's spell shards that would otherwise get sotm?
It's pretty much core on, but that's about it. Don't know about
now, though.
Every hero needs a SoTM upgrade, I have believed this for years in dota as well.

Pyro... WHY?
2.1k Gold out of that 4.2k gold would've been endlessly better spent on a Portal key and the remaining 2.1k on a blessed orb for either Nullstone, Sheepstick or Frostwolf. There's absolutely no if, and or buts about this. Staff on Pyro is -completely- worthless.
I want to strangle players every time I see one build a Staff on Pyro or Witch.

But then again why play voodoo when you can play andromeda?
Better supports out there.
Plague can get sideburn stick and cyclone etc. Staff is useless.
Because as ludicrous as it may sound, some of us play heroes we like playing to have fun?

So 3, sometimes 4, you'll get sotm. Out of 27 that can use it. Great item huh? Especially with heroes like chro and sb that can use it, who'll obv never buy it. I'd love to see it on
Works very well on's lvl 3 Spirit Ward, boosting his ult to 500 physical damage per second to 3 seperate enemies in range.
it's quite good on pharaoh aswell. 20 seconds CD on his ulti is simply crazy, you can initiate a teamfight and use it a second time on someone escaping for example
or you gank someone with your ult and have it ready to use again when you reach a tower to push
besides of being an at least decent pickup for pharaoh it's also HUGE FUN!
other than that: polly+chipper+devourer+jester (though hard to get with him) and to a lesser degree bomb, ophelia, magmus, geomancer, hag

I like to get it on Plague after Astro for extra HP so I won't be killed instantly late game.
VJ can with good farm.
I've seen some SB players get stuff to one-hit ulti tanks and then sell it later.
I loved to get it onand
in lower psr (! long time ago !) regions, dunno if it would work in lower mmr regions too. Its quite fun actually, especially pharaoh saving himself from ganks by flying all over the map.
I would use it on accursed to avoid not being able to cast my ult when stunned. Oh wait, it only counts towards silences not stuns.... oh well.....
