Weird. Hard Carry that has superb early ganking/roaming skills.
The hero is fine overall, though it's not as much as I myself expected.
We surely have many things to talk about his handy "blade"

I don't like the shield/passive combo. I know it can be balanced, but I don't like it. Ranged heroes have the benefit of being ranged at the cost of damage/survivability. The passive and shield takes away the main issue with being ranged and gives him the nice increased damage most melee heroes have.

Have yet to see anything amazing from him, but he seems more apparently powerful than most other recent heroes.
Why pick CD when you can short someone of 7 armor and have 600 range instead of 475 \_(-_-)_/
OK but on a serious note, um... Gunblade doesn't seem original at all, very bland hero in my opinion. As for his power level, I have seen him get completely destroyed and completely stomp, so need more time to be sure where he stands on the tier list.

Play him once on my friends account, the shield is juz too good. Cost only 65 mana, absorb at least 1 dmg per mana together with MS increase. I build an energizer on him with shield maxed, i can go 522 move speed. It seems to me that his shield is even better than some pseudo-blink. Not to mention his Q and R are good ganking/chasing skills.
Overall, he gets too much early presence as a carry. Should tune the numbers on the skills.
Once again, a more of a low tier hero, not bad for pub stomping early game even. Probably will never be seen on the competitive scene. Ya his shield is quite strong but he's still uncomparable to hard ranged carries like flint/fa/cd. Similar to Master of Arms (not being able to do some real carrying till late game with some epic items). If S2 wants to have him as a hard carry then Gun will need some changes in his skillset. If S2 wants to keep him as an early ganker/semi carry then he's okay I guess. I've tried playing him with support build cus everyone on my team wants to carry (astro, tablet, teacher ring, 15 wards) It turned out to be surprisingly okay since he does have the awesome shield that supports dont have. On the other note, if you're gona play agi support, engi w/ his ult is much more useful, but once again Gun survives better due to his shield.

He has excellent sustained damage throughout the entire game, and he can be described as a superior laner. He is also quite difficult to kill, which is a favorable quality for any hero.
Ult needs some rework . - armor is ok , but cd . stun and dmg is simply low + his shield if not activated say he is stunned is of 0 use + its 180 + 1.5 x agility can surely take few minor spells around
I'd agree with CyberKun and racewong about the Demonic Shield being powerful on a ranged agility carry. He can kite you to hell with it, or escape, or even chase with it.
I feel he's underestimated and often put off as "just another ranged carry" or a crappy flint beastwood, which is silly.
His shield skill is amazing, and pretty much puts you at haste speeds with ghost marchers. The mana cost is almost nill (60) and it gets you quite a bit. His passive does crazy damage and I've been tempted to max it first. I've considered balls to the walls stats and passive builds sort of in the vein of old arach aura and stats build, but I haven't worked up the nerve. His Q skill is pretty sweet, though the aim plates that were shown might be nice or some way of knowing if you're in range of if you're going to just shoot in that direction. Oh well... His ults fine. -armor debuff could last a tad bit longer. The cool down on it could be shorter...
I'm really conflicted on what to build on him, though I'm sure in time we'll see something popular work itself out. I've had success with things like shieldbreaker, nullfire, flamebrand, rushing 1-2 dancing blades, it's all over the place.
I like this hero, though I can't put my finger on it, something seems off. His attack animation drives me crazy, though I guess I get it's supposed to. Why should flint beastwood get such a great animation over him?

Positioning requirements are going to make him not viable in comp imo. I think that the main reason I've ever done well with him was just because the game was either a stomp or people were just not paying attention to him.
From personal experience, he's extremely poor at coming back from a slow start but is a pretty solid snowballer. I've messed around with a couple of builds, including pure - armor, tank builds, and shroud. I think shroud/genjuro is probably the most successfull one, since it allows you to get in close to start abusing his passive and then attack some more/hook + nuke them.
His base attack speed and agility gain doesnt really cut it for "stand in the back and shoot safely" ranged style, and I dont think his shield allows for enough tankability to avoid dmg items, whilst at the same time getting tanky means he isn't really doing enough dps.
I'd have to relegate him into a similar position as nomad, except gunblade can carry better lategame I guess.
Retired after the deportation system announced by S2 games. If you are a latin and have any self esteem, uninstall tthis game and play something else.

So then why dohave such a good cast point? I do think it's the cast point that sucks, not the projectile speed itself. And don't say survivability, because Gunblade's only real survivability is his shield which you need to cast — similar to
's armour,
's disables and
's leap.
I played Gunblade alot now. Technically he is a hard carry but he has too good early and mid game... He is also a very good early ganker.
But he doesn't have enough raw dps to kill a hero solo mid-late. I shroud and sneak up, attack real close. But failed to kill just.
I don't think his base damage is anything crazy compared to heroes who fill similar roles(etc...). I'm not asking for more damage or a faster projectile or anything, like others have said I just think the cast point or whatever it's technically called could be a lot less frustrating.
