So in other terms, you could of fixed gladiator alt and just not re release it. That would of work and I don't see anyone saying anything about that...

Then people would be all over how they didn't buy it back then because of how it wasn't worth the money back then and other lame excuses.
To be honest, I don't care if they get released for a 2nd time since I am happy as long as I got that avatar, not what anyone else has.

And, S2 being S2, doing work, without option to maximize profit out of it, is a waste of work.

Actually i don't remember being any claims that the Gladiator Ult would not be released again, I remember it wasn't even for a special occasion it was just an out of the blue avatar sale for 400 gold and 600 silver.
Im assuming the 600 Silver was a marketing mistake (Someone would of had thier ass whooped) but i took full advantage =D!

So i actually understand why this is being re-released, With the marketing mistake, the popularity of the item, The increase in player base, Might aswell make some money

But i don't condone it, I do still spend gold on this game, I find it only fair since it gives me hours of entertainment. Gold Collection is Gold Collection and if one or two characters cannot be re-released, then none of them should be re-released. If this avatar was part of another category such as limited edition, then yeah ok.

In the end S2 Needs to be more black and white, All Avatars (Or anything) In certain categories need to have the same rules applied to all of them, or they should create a new category for ones with different rules

I don't get why people are so mad, I've bought all the gold but none of the EA and only some limited. And I agree that S2 has made us believe that Gold would never appear again, but this is not like they are saying that all the gold will be back or anything, it's more like they felt that it was unfair to costumers that didn't buy it in the first place becouse they wouldnt use it becouse it was kinda broken, so they give them another chance now that it's fixed.

but its their opinion nd they are entitled to it. while i personally dont feel betrayed or feel s2 lied/decieved i can appreciate how others can come to that conclusion.

as long as they express their dissapointment in this constructively there is no harm in their voice being heard. outright vitrol and such is a different ballgame.
only by the masses expressing themselves can s2 act upon reasonable popular opinion

How would one go about to express their disappointment constructively?

If they group up and come up with some sort of demand, it would most likely be ignored. S2 at most would offer a written apology, but make no attempt at changing their plan. This is exactly what happens every time they make an unpopular change that goes against their previous policy (examples are Map editor, EA, now this.) Just by induction it's not hard to see where this is going. S2 won't budge unless they see some financial-related aftershock.

If they voice their frustration on this topic, it is blatantly ignored. You are already well aware that this is a centralized thread for the complaints created for control of potential damage to PR.

If they try to breach that barricade and post elsewhere to grab attention, then their post is promptly deleted, potentially with infractions following.

So how exactly does one constructively voice their complaints if their options are being ignored, and getting forum banned? Is there a third option that we are not seeing?

I tried that once and it was completely ignored. I wrote out and gave examples and previous discussions to past occurrences and asked for S2 to further explain themselves, specifically xanderK, and the thread was ignored. Many people agreed and the thread received about 5-6 pages of people waiting for an answer but low and behold, an answer never came.

That's the kind of response people generally get to being nice and constructive to S2 which is why their community rarely tries to use it with them now. They've done it to themselves; they've brewed their own volatile community.

Really who gives a ****, its a business, they can do what they want, I have alot of the limited / gold avatars, and idc if they all come back, id rather see more people with them than barely see them. At the end of the day, you still have your avatar, nothing has changed, there are thousands who play this game, and i see about 3 limited / gold avatars a day if that.

S2 could create a thread called say "Centralization of 2.0.14 Complaints" and then it can later be deleted.

We could also voice our complaints regarding EA and then be reassured that we've been heard but ignored by Maliken himself.

Do you see that title below his name? It says "Moderator".
He can't just go around and say "OMG S2 Y U SO TERRIBLE????". Why? Because enough people are seeing volunteers to be in some way affiliated with S2 and whatever they say is immediatly thrown back at S2 (*cough* MacroHard *cough*) when they do a, let's call it, dickmove.

Feel free to backup such claim with evidence. The only "evidence" that has been provided has already been shown to be mis-represented.

No sir. It has come down to back pedaling, double talk and now "comprehension". When we start talking about semantics and comprehension that is a good sign that someone is trying to skirt the issue by defining terms that might be able to be interpreted in different ways. In this case it is being used to confuse the original intent and the way it was marketed to the public. Now we need "evidence" when we all know the original indication given by S2 to the community was that these where to be sold once and once only.

I don't see how anyone can argue on S2's side on this one. If you are then you have a very good ability to ignore the facts. Anyone that bought these limited and gold collection was doing so with the understanding they would not be sold again. S2 knows this. If they choose to move forward with releasing more gold and limited editions I will be uninstalling HoN at my café for good and will full tilt move to marketing DotA 2 and LoL.

To bad certian mods will not stand up to their clearly stated convictions and instead fold like a card table. Love backbone. I hope this is just a one off.

Well if Mods and GM's had their own opinions, rather than some automated S2 defense robot responses, they could lose their position that their not paid to do.
