I keep having some random sort-of lagspikes.
It's not my internet(I think), it used to run fine on my laptop and it's the only online game that I am having any sort of lag with.
I got a Intel i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40 ghz
AMD Radeon HD 6870
4gig ram
I run it from a OCZ Vertex 2 ssd, because it used to do this on my harddrive.
Tried re-installing, didn't work.
Even if it's the only online applications running(skype/xfire/steam all shut down) it still gives me annoying lags.
I don't have any mods installed except for a soundmod(Zelda theme in shop) wich I started using awhile after these spikes already happened.
Tell me if anything else is needed.
Thanks.
To limit as much interference as possible, can you disable your Zelda mod while we are working to guarantee no outside influence on the game?
After doing so and run into a problem, can you upload your console.log and post it into this thread:

http://tools.heroesofnewerth.com/upload.php
To check whether if it is a graphical issue or network, type the following into your hon console (ctrl f8):
host_drawFPS 1
host_drawFPS 2
The first will show your fps. The second will show your ping.
Just did the host_draw things.
fps1 runned at 125 fps, and dropped to about 78 when creeps were there etc.
fps2 stayed at 8 or 9.
It sort of skips, like it freezes for a mini-second, but neither of them drop or rise when it happens.
I'll upload the console log tomorrow, don't have time to uninstall mod and play another game right now ^_^
- Disable your sound. If it works, you will need to update/reinstall/get a different version of your sound card.
- Disable your antivirus. If it works, you will need to add a read-scan exception to the files in the HoN folder. Also, some AV might still interfere in the background when disabled (like comodo). You will have to add an exception/uninstall to test it.
- Check that your windows/graphic cards are up to date.
- Check if your HD light remains solid during the freeze. If yes, find the below file and change it to read-only. Note that this is a temp fix.
c:/users/<USER>/my documents/heroes of newerth/game/reconnect.cfg
If the above don't work, please upload your console.log when possible.
