okay s2, you could offer all gold collection alt avatars one day, because i had gladiator alt avatar, but i want fa-s alt, and this is kinda unfair to those who have bought gladiator alt on the right time.
Ok, so I don't buy many alt avatars, but the fact 2 of the ones I've used Gold Coins for have been re-released when they were meant to be 'limited time only' avatars is just plain wrong. Sort your act out S2, you're continuing to make the community hate you and it's as if you don't even care. Not the S2 I remember during BETA stages when we all supported you.
inb4 every single other 'limited' release avatar is slowly re-released over time for massively increased prices and only gold coins (which they will try spin as being a good thing) due to some bs reasoning like minor adjustements (or because some avatars were re-released they felt it was unfair on the playerbase to not re-release all of them).
"S2 reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to change, modify, add to, supplement or delete any of the terms and conditions of this Agreement at any time, including without limitation access policies, the availability of any feature of the Game or the Service (including S2 servers), hours of availability, content, data, software or equipment needed to access the Game or the Service, effective with or without prior notice; provided, however, that material changes (as determined in S2's sole and absolute discretion) will be disclosed as follows: S2 will provide you with notification of any such changes through a patch process, or by email, forum posting, postal mail, website posting, pop-up screen, or in-game notice. If any future changes to this Agreement are unacceptable to you or cause you to no longer be in compliance with this Agreement, you must terminate, and immediately stop using, the Game and the Account. I only lurk anymore..
What contract are you referring to exactly?
I believe the contract is the ToS that you agreed to when you made your account, letting s2 do whatever they wanted

Actually, it IS a crime of false advertising. Many people (me included) buy gold coins to get the limited avatars because they don't have enough Silver, so when you say to a customer "Buy it, limited edition" and re-release it a few months later, they can (and should) sue the company for false advertising.
And yeah, I'm disappointed S2, I really hope some people have the guts to sue you for that nasty play you just did.
The sales contract between S2 and the customer created and entered into at the point of purchase. Not every contract is a standard form piece of paper, for example if I said to you - "I will sell you this green car for £500, do you accept?" and you said "Yes" we would have a contract under the terms stated prior to entering into the agreement.
S2 can put anything they want in their terms of service. Just because they say that doesn't make it a legal or binding term, particularly when it's a fundamental sales term. You cannot falsely advertise a product under any American or English jurisdiction and not be liable. In contract law many people put things in their ToS or standard form contracts amounting to "we are not liable for this, this, this, and this" but it does not allow them to act illegally as they have done with false product advertisement. There are strict sales and e-commerce laws governing this.
If it were the case that simply having a standard form contract which included ridiculous terms in it such as 'by agreeing to this you are now my property and you will lick your feet whenever I desire' you could produce quite blatantly stupid outcomes, hence why there are strict sales laws. Sales laws are strictest with regard to businesses-customer relations, which is the current situation, as opposed to customer-customer or business-business relations where the bargaining power of both parties is equal. S2, as a business have superior bargaining power to their customers, hence the laws will be at their strictest with regard to any violations of sales laws such as false advertising - they are most certainly liable here.

So what did they actually do to that alt avatar? I cant see any changes.
I'm not super happy that you guys did this. In fact I feel betrayed in a big way. But whatever. The least you could do is refund the coins I paid for it. As it is now you took something that I earned and have made it in my eyes and in many eyes worthless.

THE ****, HOW CAN YOU MAKE LIMITED EDITION AVATARS AVAILABLE AGAIN?
DON'T CALL IT LIMITED EDITION THEN. ****.
IM SO MAD RIGHT NOW. >.<
ps. You better not do this again if you want me to spend more gold.
I don't know how many of you played during the beta, due to the fact I see a lack of 'legacy', but during the beta it was advertised that you could only get the taunt feature if you pre-purchased in beta. Taunt has been available for purchase for everyone for a long time now. S2 games can modify and re-issue any contract they wish to, meaning sales and prior. You are making a big deal out of NOTHING.
I mean really, I've seen some ****ing first world problems, but this is out there.
I may not have the legal expertise that some of you have, but all in all, if this is your biggest problem to worry about, *****ing about a games alt avatars and when they are sold, I wish I had that kind of life.
I only lurk anymore..
Many people around don't give a damn about this and clearly they are not very smart. The problem of this thread is not about the selfish bastard who doesn't want others to get what he already have. The real problem is the false information released by S2. Lying to the customers will bring no good to S2. It took me a bit to get away from this game, others will take a bit more, but people have limits. Maybe some players with huge fanatism in their brain will stay here even with a monthly fee but S2 just keep making promises and breaking them so eventually some of their actions will hurt even the most blinded fan and make him think about his devotion.
It's the same product alright, since those who got it still have it. And their own announcement says so. So, they can say whenever they want, they are annoucing a re-release (which means, released again) and in game, if you have it, you'll see it is treated as the same avatar. So there you go, free money for all those who sue. I suggest you have a talk with a lawyerGladius Beardicus Weekend Re-Release!![]()
