Gladius Beardicus Weekend Re-Release!

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up as to why Gladius Beardicus is currently available for purchase. At S2 Games, we're constantly looking for ways to improve past content that we've released - as we've recently done with Flaming Deadwood, Deathmetal Rhapsody, Hydraxis, etc. Gladius was always high on our priority list to touch up because his ultimate effect was 1) not quite enough OOMPH for our liking and 2) bad for gameplay because it is significantly less noticeable than its Classic and Adventure counterparts.

We've taken those little shark fins and turned them into full-fledged swimming badass chompers. Because this enhances the avatar significantly, we wanted to give the people who chose not to purchase Gladius - perhaps due to the lackluster ultimate effect - the opportunity to add him to their collection now that he's 79.2% more awesome. Please note that he is available only for Gold Coins and at a significantly higher price at than he originally was, so our early adopters can enjoy the new enhancement while resting assured that they got the best deal!

If my memory serves, Leprechaun BS isn't a Gold Collection avatar, but a Limited Edition, and all limited Edition come back around the same time they were released.

If it's a Gold Collection, then my bad, but makes no sense that an Avatar which is based on a "date" would be a Gold collection.

I see no reason now to ever get them, as they might just be re-released anyway.

They were supposed to never ever be re-released.

I still don't like the fact that my "limited" buy is not so limited anymore.

These kind of things usually don't go well with the community.

If you would the the same to Lep. BS or Golden Pebbles you would get the same rage.

What's to stop you from tweaking all the other gold collection avatars and using the same reasoning to rerelease them? I would like a few of the older avatars in the game to be limited at least.

Frankly, I'm genuinely disappointed. While the animation touch-up is indeed nice, it's not as huge as it's being made out to be and it's not worthy of screwing with the Gold Collection status of it. This opened a huge can of worms.

What's to stop you from systematically doing touch-ups on every other Gold Collection avatar and re-releasing them all over time? The exclusivity of these avatars is a big part of them (not just the fact that they're pretty awesome).

I have thus far obtained every single limited avatar, some of which I bought coins specifically to get. What incentive do I have to continue doing so if "No longer available" can turn into "Just kidding! It's back!"?

Seriously, there needs to be something more than just an explanation on WHY you did it to settle this storm. We get your reasoning, even though we may not agree. What's most concerning is the rest of the collection, and the future of them. Not that we have much reason to take you at your word at this point (Sorry, but I'm just being honest here), but we'd like assurances that this isn't going to be something that's repeated.

I am all for re-releasing the gold collections, even if it would lower the "value" of the ones I own. Yet, I completely understand where you are coming from. They will be less rare to you. (I don't like using the word "value" because technically they are worthless because no resale.) It being less rare would not be great.

Nice use of saying "not so limited"... Because it would still be limited, just less so.
Also, I understand the false advertising idea. Even if they add another limit, they made it seem as if the first limit would be the only one.

They are still within their rights to resell them and I am for it.
But I can't udnerstand your side.

I would first like to say Hunty, I respect the way you talk on the forums. Thoughtful and respectful responses.

I tend to rage and complain enough in-game ^^.
I've also been taught to always talk to people in a way like you would like them to talk to you.
So I try my best to make as few mistakes as possible in my replies while also be as clear as possible in what I mean.

I agree with you, but the problem is, that gladius wont be the last alt you bring back for sale. if limited was said, they should be stay limited. that was the concept and the only reason i bought all limited edition avatars. dont make me lose faith in you. if you cheat me, i will stop buying limited alts...

I have him already, and i dont really care about re-releasing him again. BUT PLEASE, i am missing only 4 skins for full collection (), please, bring them back for sale. Even for 1000g coins, i will still buy it .

Please don't turn a one off re sale into a joke.
I don't care about the items themselves it's your word I'll find hard to trust again. I know you have the right to do it of course and the TOS states that fact but doesn't mean you should do it. I will still buy stuff but ye probably stop believing everything you say from then on. I also understand you are a business and there to make money as I am 31 and manage a business myself. All I ask is that you 'take it easy' with the 'touchy' subjects. Please do not re sell every gold collection.
