Map is now called "Nightmarish"
Check link in Sig for latest version of map:
Because I can...
Still a far way off and is more like prototype atm.
You run around trying to survive will waves of evil creatures including zombies try to kill you.
What I need though is some suggestions to which characters/models I should use as enemies and suggestions/ideas so I know which direction to go with this map. It's still very rough and basic.
*current things I have worked on
The camera follows the player which can freely move around, it uses the alternative follow cam, which I tweaked a little for smooth transmission.
(something people don't know exists in HoN)
Your primary fire skill is with D, which you can use to rapidly fire bullets. If you use smartcast, you can just point in a direction and shoot, for an "Arcade" feeling.
Those tablets of commands you see there in inventory, that's dodging (Alt + WSAD).
Also created wave spawning system consisting of a fillerspawner and wavespawner. Wave spawner only spawns a specific wave once whenever I want to. So I basically have complete control over the waves.
Filler Spawner will just repeatedly pump out enemies in a certain interval, just something to keep the player busy in-between waves.

IMO Devourer would make a good zombie creature...though more of a radioactive zombie.

Normal devourer -> Rot
Alt devourer -> Hooker
I guess you used FA's skeletons already as seen on the pic?
Clown Dev could be cool too, Gravekeeper. Gunblade (when released) Dampeer (maybe) Defiler, Moraxus
EDIT: completely forgot, but King Ra would be nice too
Looks like an awesome map. I personallz like the PC game Killing floor alot as well, resembling games are always awesome. Besides, who the fuk wouldnīt want to kill some b*** aZ zombie`s?
I can see this map being potentional stress relieve after a losing streak for example :P (nearly all of us has had them )
And yea, as mentioned by the above poster, dampeer, clown dev, the neutral skeletons, Berserkers alt avatar maybe even Kongorstein
Btw, so you can set the tablets to making you move right, even though you are facing left? Thats cool.
Keep up the good work, if you ever need help testing the game, donīt fear, NaaViie` is here (to test your game).

The green glow would definitely make it look nice :3. Looks good man, can't wait for oldies devourer/valk wars again
gunblade (or instead of bomb) for the real 5 player co-op
maybe other 5 player could have some spawner, 1 Gold per second and etc. smallest zombie that take 1 shot to kill is 2 gold
bigger zombie 5 gold
and so on.each player have 3 lives
zombies are uncontrollable except hero zombies (like devo, forsaken...)
only ideas i had
Don't think muti-player support is ever gonna happen in HoN, too much silence around the subject from S2.
So it's best to stick to single-player for now, to figure things out. That and I'm only one person.
I'm gonna stick to the current movement for now, although I would of liked diablo-like movement where you just hold the right click button.
Gunblade however has me interested, since his melee and ranged. There's not really gonna be autoattacks in the map, gonna have to attack manually.
Transmutenstien ( the replacement of kongor in watchtower ) would also make a nice boss creature.
Also blood hunter, plague, Swraith, pharaoh etc can be included if needed.
Why has no one mentioned Grave Keeper and his zombie minions yet?
Play it like ZOMG Zombies in Wc3.
Players start on a map as workmen, they can choose 2 different class's
They find spots where they can hide/defend themselves.
At 30seconds into the round, someone randomly turns into a zombie(s) and must kill and infect the remaining people, zombies and humans have different vision, so fog of war applies.
Once all humans are infected and turned into zombeis round restarts.
Humans must live for around 2+minutes to win the round
If you win a round u get points and levels and gold to buy some items taht will help you next round.
Person with most points after so many rounds wins.
This reminds me of Diablo. Probably should be made with more difficult areas to advance to when you get the levels. Maybe enemy heroes with their own item equips (a Balphagore in a crwod of enemies with an Abysmal Skull so the crowd is more difficult) to add more depth to your enemies. Maybe items or pots hidden as pickups also.
In all the idea sounds incredibly fun.
