I have been thinking lately about how one item renders most of intelligence heroes useless for some amount of time. Based on that I came with the idea of splitting Shrunken Head's effect. Doing so, in my opinion, will force players into thinking what is the greatest danger in enemy setup.
Before you start analyzing have in mind that recipes are subject to change. Help me make this thread into constructive one and write a reply elaborating your vote.
Chestplate of Anguish
Description:
When activated, applies Chestplate of Anguish to self and imbuer becomes immune to magic damage.
Detailed description:
Applies Chestplate of Anguish to self for 10 seconds and imbuer becomes immune to magic damage.
After each time Chestplate of Anguish is used, the duration of Chestplate of Anguish is reduced by 1 second and Chestplate of Anguish's cooldown is reduced by 5 seconds. The duration of Chestplate of Anguish will not go below 5 seconds, nor will the cooldown go below 55 seconds.
Chestplate of Anguish cannot be removed or dispelled.

3900 gold
Item activation details:
cooldown > 80 seconds

Components:
Ringmail > 550 gold
Blessed Orb > 2100 gold

The primary problem with your suggestion is that Shrunken itself only costs 3900 gold. You created 2 separate items that cost 3900 gold, but reduced the effectiveness of each item. Your iteration of the item effectively makes both of your own items useless as they don't do enough for their cost and even if you reduced the cost of these items so that combined they cost 3900 gold or somewhere in the vicinity, you would've effectively reduced the cost of immunity abilities doing the EXACT opposite of what you set out to do.
Edit: Also, blessed orbs are too expensive for the effect. You've nerfed the effect and increased the highest component cost? This really just sounds like you don't like it when a carry makes a smart item choice to counter your disables.

If that's part of your reason to suggest a change and a huge nerf to shrunken head, then you should start thinking about your own itemchoices...
But to stay on topic and to elaborate my vote: If I understood your post correctly you want to split the 'Nullify magic damage' and 'Nullify magic effects' into two items with the same cost as Shrunken Head now. That's ridiculous (as Rosgath stated before). Shrunken head is not as strong as it might occur to you. If you force the enemy carry to use it several times it will provide <10seconds of immunity. That's not much. In fact a properly and well executed teamfight, with intelligent play, falling back, drawing out and focussing down opponents would take much longer than 10 seconds.
3900gold for 10-5 seconds of magic immunity is completely fine for a carry, that somehow has to build up damage items to be effective. These 3900gold always hurt if you have to use them to get the immunity, because you could get a shitload of damage out of them.
And to throw this in: if you like to play magic users and have a problem with shrunken head carries... for 1500gold you can get a pretty much equivalent item that completely nullifies physical damage + stuns (Void Talisman). There's no way you can make such a huge nerf to shrunken head without touching void talisman. It's just that most people simply forget about this item, while raging about how much damage *insert any farmed carry here* does and how fat he already got.
I lost games with a 500+ gpm maliken against a semi-carry / magic team just because they got void and sheeps / stormspirit, trolled me with their physical immunity while my shrunken was active and then rolled over the whole team (+ me) with their disables. Just to give an example of how useless a shrunken can be against smart plays![]()
