This issue only arose after last patch. When I join queue if I don't press any button/click anything I can get into the hero select, and even then I can't click on a hero or press any button or I'll get disconnected. So I'm forced to random and when I do finally get into a game, I can't press any buttons/move my hero anywhere or I'll crash. Running game as admin doesn't help. This happens with probably 4 of 5 games. I do NOT get a K2 error. I get a Windows error... I'll replicate the crash and get exactly what it says in a second.
edit: its just a generic "Heroes of Newerth has stopped responding... Windows is trying to find a solution yadda yadda" thing.
edit 2: I've already tried uninstalling/reinstalling. Did nothing. I was able to play a few games last night but can't get a game going today.
edit 3: To clarify, this is exactly what happens from the moment I log in. I can use the client just fine UNTIL I try to join queue or sit in a lobby. Once I'm in queue or lobby if I press ANY button whatsoever I will crash. Usually I will queue up and start right clicking to see if it crashes me. It almost always does. On the rare occasion that it doesn't, I'm usually good to play. SOMETIMES I will crash during the game even though I was able to get past the queue bullshit. When that happens, I cannot reconnect in time because I will always crash.

Hello,
if you can play some games at night after a reinstall and then it completly changes, its most likly not HoN which is causing the crash but any other programm you use.
I'm gladly try to help you find the cause.
I looked over your consolelog and i dont think you actually played one game or even attemd to play a game with the second one.
You have to know that the consolelog gets overwritten everytime you start hon.
Could you upload a consolelog right after the crash happens.
Or just save it so you dont get the disco.
Then i'll be happy to look into them again.
Regards, r00t
The second console log was from a crash when I was in queue. I've only reinstalled once and I've been able to play some games every day so its not JUST after a reinstall.
http://tools.heroesofnewerth.com/vie...7b&action=view Crash just happened after I managed to get in a game.
Is anybody out there?
I've spent so much goddamn money on this game and I can't even play it anymore. What a waste of hard drive space...and to think I was going to get stat resets for both my accounts. Lol.

Are you first given a "wait for program to respond" message, or is it crashing immediately?
Also, it's crashing when doing graphics stuff. Are your graphics drivers up to date?

The client immediately crashes, screen goes black, and this message comes up.
"Heroes of Newerth Has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem."
And the new patch didn't help
Graphics drivers are up to date. That was one of the first things I did. It crashes when I'm in queue as well. Is that related to "graphics stuff?"

Hmm. It seems like some sort of driver problem. HoN sets a crash handler to make crash dumps (k2 exception message). Windows popping up a message is due to a crash happening in external code that hon doesn't even directly call.
I might have found a work around.... 5 games and no crashes yet... We'll see. I'll update if it proves to work for an extended amount of time.
So the game won't crash if I open it going from Start - All Programs - Heroes of Newerth - and use that icon. Any desktop shortcut or start menu shortcut won't work. Any reason for this?
What are the targets of each shortcut?

Including the shortcut located at?
The reason I ask is the shortcut should have nothing to do with the way the game runs. That is just windows directing a icon to a program. Unless the shortcut has a different target or boot option the program should run exactly the same as another shortcut pointing to the same location.Start - All Programs - Heroes of Newerth - and use that icon
