2 graphics problems: cursor and minimising problems

hi.

i've been encountering two minor graphics problems when playing Heroes of Newerth. neither are majorly important but just annoying when playing.

1. firstly, when i minimise HON at any time it always takes about 5 seconds of black screen b4 i get my windows screen and same when i switch back to HON. i am using a n AMD sapphire HD6850 1GB GDDR5 video card and a AOC 23.6" 1080P HDMI LCD monitor. i don't know how to fix it without messing the game up

2. secondly. frequently when im in the middle of a game the cursor gets distored 'sort of cut in half'. it is still playable with but very annoying and the distortion stays even when i minimise/quit out of HON. the only way to get rid of the distortion is by sleeping/restarting the computer. specs are the same as before

any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Your first problem is normal. That happens with most games that use Direct3D

Could you upload a console.log to http://tools.heroesofnewerth.com/upload.php and post a link to view it here. Also could you post a screenshot of your mouse pointer when this error occurs?

k will do when it happens next. so theres nothing i can do about the first problem? cause friends i play with dont seem to have the same wait time???

Well, it depends on your computer make up. Some computers take longer than others to reload DirectX.
