Create Device Failed

hello,
since Today, i got a problem to start hon.
as i click on the icon it says: "D3D_Create: CreateDevice() failed"
i had this Problem never before, but for the background, yesterday we had kind of a party, with my pc envolved, I hope that this didn`t damaged my graphic card in any way.
I run on Windows 7, my Graphic card drivers are Up to date and as i said, this started today, never before, I had troubles

there is one thing that could be aswell,
I have a very special friend who thinks that it is funny to adjust things at my pc,
what i found out now is, that for some reason, my directx cant be initialised
so, my question is, if it is possible to deactivate or adjust the directx in any way? cause that is probably what he has done

Please try updating your graphics drivers and Direct X:
Graphics:

Also, I would recommend upgrading the graphics card as it's not being properly supported anymore.

thank you, I considered to uptade my GC anyways,
but now, a few reboots solved my problem out of nowhere

The driver might have hanged or there could have been something else utilizing the graphics device. Problem solved, closed.
