Your selection should be based on enemy selection and your team selection. The first often is impossible during AP as people tend to pick heroes in last seconds. However, if you see a being picked early by enemy, you know that you need to disable him hard ( ) or you gonna lose terribly. If you see your ally best or second-best player (ignore brown/oj unless they are smurfs) picking a hero like or , you know that a would be a nice pick to synergise with them (or if you know how to time your cocoon on armadon when he gets focused).
If you don't know who to pick and feel you won't be needing that much of a disable (or your other team mates provide enough of it) then pick . That hero is simply powerful, a nicely cast ultimate is just devastating. He has zero disabling power though (unless he makes a :KuldrasSheepstick:, which he should strive to get if there is another person helping with wards).
+ - a bit harder since the nerf but also more devastating, you just need to land a stun with so that can land his true nuke instead of fake one.
+ - absolutely devastating combo, I did not find a working counter to this one. Does anyone know how to counter those two (if you plan to tell me "just stay back and try to live" then please remain silent, that's not a counter, that's losing a lane without trying)?
How you go with them is simple: pushes all the creeps around you and stuns you (so you can't react) and annihilates you by healing the creeps. There is NOTHING you can do since you are stunned.
+ - only works if is competent and able to land as many hits as possible while the target is pollened and slowed.
+ - blocks the hero with her wall near trees and immediately casts his flare, then tries to land as many outattacks as possible while drains the target and stuns him for a second at the end. With good synergy this should be enough to either kill the opponent or make him heal / leave lane.
solo + roaming - double stun is always dangerous.
+ - shielding emerald lets him approach enemies since 6th level without any danger and harass them with his bird. Ultimately frustrating.
+ - maxes dance floor and static grip. Just grip the enemy on the floor so he get max dmg, then burst him with dmg and land autoattacks on 's stun (target the hero with stun, so that grip interruption is impossible unless they have 2 stuns).
+ - rapes by himself and if ults him he is just a freakin war machine on a rhinoceros.
+ - not really that powerful since the nerf but still rapes incompetent enemies.
+ - though may have troubles farming due to 's short range and harassment problems, a combo of stun + -armor + stun is quite painful.
I just beat dshaman and cthu with plague rider and slither, it was a 1600 game though, we got a bad start in the beginning, slither died by walking past the creeps and getting stunned, pretty sad, but we conquered in the end 8D, playguuuu op
