    Extremely Annoying Lag/Fps Drops

    HP G62 Notebook PC
    AMD Turion II P540 Dual-Core Processor 2.40GHz
    4.00 GB RAM
    64-bit operating system
AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250

I've been playing hon on this computer for about a year on highest settings, never had any problems. Last couple of weeks, there was lag and fps drop (from 30+ to 20ish and then 15 or lower as game goes on). I'm not sure if it randomly gets bad or is getting worse, but its unplayable right now. I went through the wiki and spent hours trying to fix things and nothing has worked and its extremely @#$%ing frustrating. I updated my video card driver, updated windows, checked my sound drivers, lowered the graphics to the lowest setting, made like 40GB more space of memory on my hard drive, disabled my antivirus while I played hon, and (briefly) uninstalled my antivirus. Really would appreciate some help.

Can you upload your console.log and post the link in this thread:

    http://tools.heroesofnewerth.com/upload.php

Also check if your hard drive light remains solid during the entire that time

I'm noticing a couple of 'Query not S_Ok', signifying something on the graphic end.

    - Check that your DirectX is up-to-date.
    - Try running in OpenGl
    Options > Graphics > Drivers > Opengl
    - If it became problematic after a windows update/graphic update, rollback you graphic drivers to the last time it was fine.
    - Not sure if you mentioned it, but have you tried a clean reinstall?

I did the steps involving DirectX, running in Open Gl, and clean reinstall. I did each step one by one, but I still had all the same problems after every step. Also, I'm not sure, but I think it's getting worse. And rolling back graphics drivers also wouldn't do anything because I didn't update any drivers until I was getting these problems and updated the drivers to try to fix them.

Can you provide some additional info:

    - Your dxdiag report:

    - Core temps (30-60 minutes of HoN running, and maybe idle too):

The forums wont let me upload my txt file. Every time I click attachments it just says I have the maximum before I've done anything else.

    Use pastebin for the reports:

    Ok, thanks.

    Dxdiag: http://pastebin.com/K1dPSPX6

After running HoN for more than an hour,
    Temp1: 94C
    Core: 95C

Also, the temps for idle were both 55C. (Temp1 and Core)

94C is rather high, and is probably near the threshold of the limit for your computer (Check your manual for more accurate info).

Vacuum out the inside of your PC to ensure good ventilation. Poor ventilation is also a problem with laptops, so you may also need to get a cooling pad in addition.

I got a cooling pad from Argus and I'm still having the same issues. How do I vacuum out the inside of my laptop?

Simply undo the screws at the bottom of the laptop and dig yourself through it. But care - if you do that the warranty is removed and you dont have any guarantee on that laptop. If you don't find yourself comfortable doing this yourself let it do a professional.
