I can't count how many (last) matches I dominated middle lane, not as carries, but as Kraken, Midas, Pebbles (mostly gankers, or tanks). I was dominating the game even without wards or upgraded courier. I was like few kills to 0 deaths at the start, tried to gank, but the ganks looked like that:
Team crying for gank, so Im coming on haste rune, and when I was almost there they saw me so they started to run away (enemies) and my allies didn't even cast spell or MOVE to that place, when I asked why didn't they go they just answered that I'm mid so I have to do it alone (2vs1). My last games were 20-0 for us ending with 30-50 for them. My team always looks like brown is completely retard that plays first time or his ~max20th game and pink is bigger retard and noob than brown. Sandwraith pink 20 min without boots and lifetube, just hatchet and buckler (of course he kept feeding with monarch top), when I try to help them, to stop the feeding frenzy they just ignore me and fail last hits creeps while Im trying to kill enemies, of course enemies running away in safety or Im dying. So to all those who said "if you are losing because you cant carry the game - you belong to that bracket" - you are ****ing retarded, if EVEN one of your team is complete noob or retard or both you can't win, you just can't. Had few situations that I was 13-0 as a carry, but was losing the game anyway, not because I couldn't carry but enemies just focused on me and I was dying and team with no items and skill just kept running around doing ****, or just team kept feeding them so hard that even my 13-0 couldn't overcarry them. Trolls will say "go back to LoL" (my bro playing it) and as I can see when he is playing that if he has troll in team he got big chances to win, but in HoN if y ou got feeder, troll etc it's just done, you lost no matter how good you are unless enemies are worse than this noob.

Only pub trainers say that nonsense. I was 1850+(post compression) when I had 2 good friends I always played with. They stopped playing to move over to dota 2. Now I"m down to 1700 and I tend to be in the same position as you. I royally own my lane but my teammates tend to also get royally owned. It's pretty much russian roulette in solo queue, I just tend to get the bullet.

She could do this because the enemy team was behind, and they didn't have any reason to push up.

Needless to say, the doombringer was lost swiftly. 60 minute game of asking a teenager pumped on puberty hormones to come push.

Playing solo, doesn't matter how good you are, you need luck to begin with. I have plenty of games where i do my part and even more than that. I give room and time for a stupid pred on my team farm for 20 minutes without his need on battles, and then when we finally need him he only has steam boots and some bracers. It's sad because similar examples happens almost everyday.

There is a definite percent of luck in this game. Lucky runes that decide a gank's outcome, last hit accuracy which depends on the state of the player (drunk or on point), creep blocks, what unit the tower decides to shoot.

Easiest way is to grab mid with a ganker/carry.

Yes you might be able to get stuck at a rating for a few games if you have bad luck (only if it's somewhat close to your real rating though), however if you play a significant amount of games (50+) without gaining a fair amount of rating it's almost completly certain that you belong there. Claiming anything else means that you fail to comprehend basic math.

It's not because they were lucky, it's because they have the skill needed to belong there. Obviously they may have a few bad games along the way, but for the most part they'll manage to climb back up to their rating in no time.

I am in a similar situation, 1800 pre mmr squish, now i am round and circles up to 1750 straight back down to 1650 (one loss streak) back and forth, I had 6 games in a row the other day where each game my team mates argued with eachother and one started crying and just fed, intentionally tower dove and fed. We were ahead by a significant amount but they just ran past tower into their base and fed.

Another game, a hammer + pyro lane vs a solo Moon Queen fed her something like 12 kills early game. They cried for ganks when I am legionnaire in the jungle that doesn't even have a life tube or boots yet.

Back to back failures. I got to 1800 solo queueing before, I know I can do it again, it will just take some huge effort on my part and getting lucky with a few people who actually know how to carry ( i generally support or jungle/roam)

You do realize this normally only applies to people who carry hard, I play supports and roaming / jungling. My team falls apart before I can hit that snowball as a ganker or if my carry doesn't farm / do well, I can not carry as glacius. There is nothing I can do other than ward, and even then people get ganked by obvious ganks (walked right past the ward and we pinged), as a glacius

Well this is to 90% true, i played several accounts up to 1700(before compression) while soloeing and i am not even super amazing, but rather decent.
You sure cannot win 100% of your games, but if you dont belong in that bracket you will win at least 80% of them (only true if you insist on playing the midlane every game).

If you cant win games by yourself in the sub 1600 bracket(higher tiered players can decide most of their games solo till like 1800) you are not even remotly decent at the game.

So if you're avarage, you should get out without much issue. I guess a 60% winning chance would make sense. So it may feel a bit slow, but you'll get there.

The thing is that new accounts get a boost in MMR gain. They get like 20+ points per win/lose, while old accounts get 5. This is why it's easier to jump to the 1700s on smurfs.
