Okay guys, this is my third thread on the topic but this time I will type out everything just to make that one mod happy. I post this in GD because GD gets more attention than any other section.
I also created a video on this topic, if you are too lazy to read I would suggest checking it out. It also includes proof to everything I am going to tell you.

This may seem insignificant to some of you but I believe it to be a very big issue. HoN has amazing replays. Every single game getting recorded and being available to everyone is just amazing. But the system has one huge problem that pretty much ruins everything. It's close to impossible to find good replays because the replay search system is so screwed up. In addition to that the interface of the "Local Replays" in the game is just incredibad.
Open up the "replays" secion of the HoN website. Go ahead, do it. You will find a note at the top telling you that some of the replays have been lost but are getting restored. Want me to tell you for how long that has been up there? Ever since the DDoS attacks. I bet that most of you did not even play the game during that time, it has been ages. But let us simply ignore their complete indifference when it comes to that section of their website and look up a replay of Freshpro playing Kinesis. Kinesis is the new hero and looks very interesting. I know for a fact that Freshpro has been playing that hero a lot and I want to know how he builds that hero. So I am just gonna type in his name and select Kinesis. Start the search. OH! Looks like he did not play Kinesis at all. Well how about we just take a look at what exactly he played. All heroes, Freshpro, start search. OH! I am pretty sure you realized it by now but the "replays" section of the page is completely broken. It simply does not work.
But that's not the only problem I have with that part of the website. Even if it would work it would still be a pathetic piece of crap. There is no way to search for skilllevels, you are restricted to players and clans. Oh and if you want to search for a clan you still need a player name for some odd reason. I want to be able to search for games played by 1800+ players with Kinesis in it. Or maybe I want games from 1400- players playing Glacius. Why can't I search for that? And why am I restricted to only 1 player and 1 hero? Maybe I want to watch a game with both Glacius and Kinesis being played? Played by NoVa and Freshpro? Give me the option to do that. And also make it possible to search for a certain amount of players from a certain clan. Maybe I want to watch a game with at least 3 players from Fntc in it or just maybe I want to watch a game with 5 tDM players.
To sum it up I want the ability to search for:
-skilllevel
-more than 1 player at a time
-more than 1 hero at a time
-heroes without having to search for a player
-more than 1 player of a certain clan at a time
I believe that this would help out not only newer players but also the better players of the community. There always exists some asian kid that is better than you and just having a look at how that player plays is going to help you out a lot.
Let's get to my second point, the ingame replay system. This is something that I think should be standard.
If you take a look at the way "local replays" currently works you are going to see that it is a simple list. You can't do anything other than scroll through it and even that is sometimes accomponied by bugs. You are not even able to rename your stuff. Which is exactly what I want: I want to be able to rename my replays, I want the ability to create folders and subfolders and I want some search system that allows me look for certain heroes. That's all and it is not a whole lot.
Anyways I just hope that my thread does not get deleted this time. Oh and btw, I am gonna keep bumping this until they fixed the "replays" page of the website. I am not even talking about my suggestions, I just want the current page to work.
I hope some of you agree with me.
You can rename your replays anytime in windows (it takes literally 2 seconds to find them, it's under Documents and Settings \ Username \ Documents \ HoN \ Replays in WinXP, guess it's slightly different in Win7). No need for the ingame client to have a function like this. It would be cool if you could arrange them into folders though, the client doesn't recognize that (just tried).
I have never used the website for browsing replays, but come on, why would I? I just search for the nickname of pros (c'mon, it literally takes 2 seconds even to find their smurfs, as most of them stream while playing on them anyway), and just browse their replays in the ingame client.
I do, however, agree with your other points: searching would be a lot more convenient if it were customizable.
You are absolutely right -- S2, fix it! It's way more important than another new hero. The community wants this to work!Let's be as persistent as we need to be... *BUMP*
