Freezes on certain abilities

Hi, im a new forum user so i figured this is where this issue should go. I recently go a new laptop and this game plays pretty good on it, usually no lag, except for a couple of things that cause my game to freeze for a few seconds-lose connection to server from freezing to long, when i either try to pick an item up from my inventory and drop it on the ground/give it to someone/curior it, this happens, and when i try to use abilites like pyros stun, faydes slow, things that have to be targeted on the ground in order to be cast, i get the same issue.

my video card on my laptop is a nvidia geforce GT 550m 2gb
8gb of ram
windows 7
intel i7 processor

i'm not sure what other information you might need, when you respond i will tell you whatever else is needed

Update your Nvidia driver through the website at nvidia.

You may need to reinstall it:

i already have updated my driver, and i've reinstalled several times, any other suggestions

While the game does detect your nvidia GPU as seen on line 1376 - Video: NVIDIA GeForce GT 550M(2.00 GB), DirectX apparently tries to use the integraded GPU, as seen on line 41 - [0] - Intel(R) HD Graphics Family.
Make sure in your Nvidia Control Panel, 3D settings, your Heroes of Newrth profile is set to use the "High performance NVIDIA processor".
