    Shroud on Nomad?

Why? He already has invis. Maybe it gives extra dmg, but with that money you could buy sb or sols or riftshards...

I think most people picked it up before the shieldbreaker buff, haven't seen it rushed at all lately. The idea was to use it along with sandstorm and mirage to build up wanderer charges after every hit.

It's still a good item because of genjuro.
I'll never forget what I felt that day...

I, want to be a Hero of Justice!

The bonus damage from shroud stacks with his passive, so its essentialy a 250 bonus damage (which is ALOT). Making him able to use mirage strike, shroud strike, then mirage strike again.

With this combo, he can kill people by himself, and quickly aswell (before the tp's come in).
The ability to combo people down to 10%, or to actually kill them alone, is a big deal.
It's definitely possible if you know how to play well.

You get shroud on Nomad for the same reason you get it on Gladiator and Puppet Master.

The permanent invisibility is only a bonus, I find myself rushing it quite often since the SB nerf. Bursting down a support in a second is priceless. ( we all love broken heroes)

Perhaps just making it harder to build would give other items a chance (even a wingbow has dancing blade - 3300 gold component). Another positive of this would be more options for Sword of the high; if someone sees you now with it, he knows you are going for mock and prepare for it accordingly.
It scales the MOST lategame, when everyone has a lot of armor, since true strike completely ignores it. It also scales pretty well with attack speed. More attacks = more procs in a given time frame.

Yep exactly what Ripoff said, killing smb before he can cast anything is a big deal.

It works great >1700 or so. Invis>Autoattack>Mirage>Autoattack>Ult.

Usually by the time you land that 3rd attack, they are desperately trying to stun you. The shockwave ult will typically kill them; if they are smart they will just run instead of attacking your ult, in which case sandstorm slows them down and makes it easier to land more hits.

Noobs don't buy dust or eyes, so this will get you repeated immortals. Against any competent players, the shroud is a bad idea.
