League Is Live Now On #TheFragment in Quakenet IRC
if enough high level players idle #TheFragment on Quakenet we will do a high league on day 1. Otherwise the league will begin with only a semi league.
Open League
The open league will be available to all players above 1600 MMR on March 1st, 2012.
How to Join
There will be an instructional video on how to set up mIRC for use with the league later today.

What changes have you made to make this worth playing?
Issues with Force Aborting games. In the high bracket players will not be allowed to .sg games. Captains must challenge each-other for games to begin.
Another main issue was admin abuse, too many players in the wrong bracket, etc. Top players will be vouchers for the high league. If you do not play on a top team you will need to have approval of the vouchers. Keep in mind none of this is set in stone as we still have not laid the foundation for the higher tier league.
Probably the third major complaint was that a few players made the league unenjoyable for others. To fix this, there is a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for drama. If you cause unnecessary drama by doing stupid stuff, you will most likely get a warning for the first offense followed by a 2 week ban for the second offense.
Are you going to separate US and EU?
Yes and no. When a game starts its gamemode will be set either as Europe or America. Players of either region are allowed to play but the server will be hosted based on that setting.

Cranium, you're being lead in a wrong direction mate.
First of all; the "pro" division, should be open for any pro player. Whether they are currently in a team or not. Zaku, Sney, Chu, Tarano, Testie and all the others should obviously be allowed into the team. No need to make a bloody fuzz about having "half of the team vouch". - Also, if you don't invite clanless topplayers, you won't get the active league you want, and you will have many dissatisfied people. (Are you gonna leave clanless topplayers to play in fragment.semi? That's stupid!)
-> You simply just add people if they are good enough. If a pro player vouches for him, he is good enough.
1. You cannot fraud with MMR ; if you have +1900 MMR, chances are you're quite the decent player.
2. UndeadAngel frauded with PSR, and an ADMIN vouched for him. That is how he got in. Admins shouldn't be allowed to vouch anyone without anyone else vouching for him.

.SG should be going on, but captains should also be allowed to .forceabort the current ongoing game.
Pretty simple threshols based on MMR:
1900+ / playing in a top10 team / vouched by other topplayers: Pro league
1750+ or playing in a mediocre team: Semi league (reason im saying 50 instead of 00, is that i know plenty of boosted players +1700, cause of the new "20-40 MMR gain system".
Anything below, goes into fragment.low
I guess you can do the "best players of season gets into fragment.semi" - but you should never do that with fragment.pro - thats how you get sad pandas.

Hope this works out! Seems like there is a need for this kind of thing in the HoN scene.
Just don't put the entry threshold to low/high or there will be to few people playing/to many people playing.

You are looking too deep into the specifics. Of course top players will be allowed to play the top league. We are just going to create a system in which the players who are kind of in between have to get some sort of approval from a good portion of known players to play.
The Fragment Version 1 worked fine.
People just stopped playing because HoN got DDoSed for a good 2 months at the peak of our league. I guarantee that if that had not happened all of the issues that are being complained about now would have been remedied.
As to the forum troll at #4, the league hasn't worked because kids are so dramatic. I played a good 20 games in the semi league of OKHL and had a blast. High league has all dat DRAMA.

I changed it to 1700 now because I would rather have the option to lower the threshold than increase the threshold and then have a bunch of people who are below it.
If we get a high league on the first day I will most likely lower it.
