As far as I know it stops all of the hero's skills and inventory slots usage, if used on an armadon he will take full damage from the sides and the back.
Tho i don't think it stops auras from your inventory.
If you have an issue of getting hellflowered on vindi you can always get geometers and use it before someone hellflowers you so the illusions will cause the aura.
Edit: apparently I was miss led, hellflower doesn't stop Armadon's reduction.

This is interesting as it has been stated several times by several people. It is however FALSE.
Armadon does NOT lose his damage reduction when hellflowered. He does however take 25% more damage making him take 75% of normal damage to his back instead of 60%(Quite a big difference). It is however a FAR bit from the 125% he'd take if he lost his damage reduction.
Summary: Armadon does NOT lose Armordillo when hellflowered. If you think he does then you are WRONG.

It is often said that hex removes Armadon's passive since Bristleback's passive is, but that's not the case in Hon. At least not in practice mode. ^^
What about dissipate, deserted, mortifying presence, frost field plate/demonic aura, arcane hymn, blood thirst, blood sense?
Cant you go practice for a few minutes and test it by yourself?
Disspiate probably wont be blocked like armadon's passive, skilled auras should be blocked and I think item auras aren't blocked.
Any other passive abilities, auras and whatnot should work while silenced.Search "type="silenced"" (4 hits in 4 files)

Armadon spines from third spell doesnt work when silenced, but the damage reduction does, strange stuff.
Well I did the same test and got the results I claimed. Technically my test isn't more reliable than yours but I do think that I am correct as I don't see why it would be affected by silence at all.
Possible reasons you had different results than me:
1. You didn't hit Armadon in the back.
2. You didn't level the Armordillo skill.
3. You did the exact amount of damage needed for a spineburst and the counter visual thus never changed.
4. Our practise modes are different for whatever reason.
Hellflower doesn't do anything special for its individual state parameters it applies if each of those state parameters were applied from other sources.
(silence and perplex are the ones I am referring to, damage amplification does not play a role for these types of passives)
So anything a silence or a perplex does, Hellflower will do the same thing in terms of those 2 parameters.
So really, it depends on whether the passive will be disabled by silence or perplex.

I understand element but I don't know which are disabled by silence already.
Hellflower applies silence and perplex, so it will work the same as any ability that applies "silence".
As Nytemair pointed out, only three heroes have passive abilities that are disabled by silence:
- Vindicator's aura
- Nighthound's ultimate
- If either of the Gemini wolfs in split form are silenced, the other may not initiate the fusion and a fusion in-process will be canceled
All other passives/auras will work as normal even while silenced
