What are your thoughts on the newest balance patch?
Were the "right" heroes touched? Were they changed the "right" way? What implications will those changes have on the game in the near future?
Feel free to speak up and say whatever is on your mind regarding this patch's balance changes. Please note that the Forum Rules still apply.
Best balance change IMO?

I think that it was a solid patch, still there are few thing that could be nerf (Valk) or buff (). Nice SOTM to Geo pretty sweet.
I don't like the vision normalization. It closes doors for future designs.
Besides that, if S2 keeps on patching like this, they might have a chance.

Mediocre <3 !
Good patch overall.
Except the Cthuluphant change.
As I said before: why buff a hero that is already considered bann-material? And give him a deny? Questionable.
And finally they made some real changes to tremble. Cant belive it took them over a year to make his pet un-able to solo supports.
Gooby pls...
Boris name change is awful. Do we really need to make Tremble MORE unappealing?
Balance changes were ok.
I doubt anyone's seen the new monarch icon since it hasn't been uploaded to website.
SotM on new hero was nice.

My goal is for at least one of my heroes to be ported into HoN! Help my cause and get S2 to see these!

The Parasite was odd (as in, it feels like it came out of nowhere). The Cthulhuphant change is highly questionable.

Balances are pretty ok, specially when S2 is working in a lot of stuff recently.
I'm happy for them, they're doing a great job.
Supporting S2 ftw.

I think it was good overall and a lot of needed changes were made. I'm not entirely with the shudder/Boris nerfs, but I do recognize its early game viability was pretty crazy. mid to late game, it became less of a threat and I feel the nerfs push it a little too far down in that regard. 3 armor and a 20% slow at 16 on a unit that usually ends up getting butchered in a couple hits from a carry or it just dies to AoE? Seems like an over-reactive nerf.
The savage mace nerf only affects two heroes to my knowledge, and neither of them felt too out of hand when it came to getting it, though it did have a much greater effect in their hands over other carries. I suggest nerfing all ability-based crit heroes as well, since they now benefit from damage gear more than other carries that don't have inherent crit. Slippery slope and all.
I'm not too keen on the lack of Draconis buffs, but balance hasn't been discussed on the hero thus far and maybe it's just me whom thinks the hero is just a lesser version of FA with slightly better farming for much weaker early to midgame teamfighting and no tower pushing power. I'm also not feeling the hag buff or the midas nerf. Midas doesn't have much range, why give him less armor than glacius?
What?I'm not too keen on the lack of Draconis buffs
Because a hero with 3 nukes to farm with doesn't need more than +6 stats per level.Midas doesn't have much range, why give him less armor than glacius?
A hero with an escape mechanism from lvl1 and >700 range on all his skills also doesn't need >3 armor.

Love the changes to Torturer and Midas. Way too strong heroes, hopefully this toned them down a little bit. One thing I don't understand though, is why they decided to nerf stormspirit last patch, then proceed to nerf it a 2nd time by reducing range by 150 and also increasing gold price by 400. Seems a little bit over the top to me, just my 2 cents though.
Monarch probably in an acceptable place if you presume super buffed Crystal Maiden is fine also.
If you want to nerf Tempest without stepping on any toes, don't let him get gold or XP off of converted creeps (slows down his guaranteed 300+gpm from minute one) and don't let Elementals attack buildings without Tempest being in range (like WB, Balpha, Keeper, WS). Same deal with Ophelia's minions.
Mostly a good patch with changes that were a long time coming.

I really wish they'd just stuck to SS on enemies/self only. It's such an interesting item for setting things up (eg storm spirit -> geo ult, ss -> drink bottle, etc) and allowing it to be cast on allies basically just cheapens it. It's like playing a tanky hero...you are less punished for bad positioning and so on, because despite getting initiated on, you can avoid catastrophe.
Annoyed at the Stormspirit overnerf
The first nerf was very good, but this one is overkill
"Proclamation was made, in the King's Name, for all Persons to keep Silence" - House of Lords Journal, Volume 20, 24 June 1717
That SM nerf pretty butchered FA. It extremely reduces both her her ability to farm mid-late game and DPS in team fights. She is sooo easily shut down, but no, we have to nerf her instead of dealing with the true problem.
Speaking of which, why the f*ck is Zephyr still untouched? That bird has been causing trouble for ages. Its very rare to see him below 500 gpm (okay, maybe 400 sometimes) and it doesent take to be Einstein to know why. 240 dmg/sec at level 7? Are you shitting me? S2 nerfed the heals, thus making obvious they have absolutely no clue whatsoever. The problem here is not the survivability, its the damage. I will repeat to make it really obvious: its the freaking DAMAGE these bloody cyclones do. Have you ever seen a Panda casting his ultimate on Zephyr while he has his tornadoes up? Yes, they do approximately 2x the damage of Pandas ultimate and Panda is forced to retreat, otherwise the tornadoes would have killed him even though Zeph is completely disabled. So a nearly permanent regular skill does a ton more damage the other carrys ultimate. Is that balanced?? Obviously cyclones dont do any cc, but the damage is really of the charts. Even though it is reduced to 75% against creeps, he still clears an entire creep wave in 3-4 seconds without a single point of mana spent. Is that really okay? Cyclones damage needs to be reduced by at least 30-40% on both hero and non-hero units.
Dont get me wrong, it was a solid patch. The nerfs on DM on Torturer were much needed. Its the right direction to go, but there is a lot of really powerful heroes that should be addressed.
I know, right? It feels like all they did was nerf my FA build into the ****ing ground (Frostburn, Savage and Basher). I can't believe they didn't nerf any of the tanking monstrosities with ridiculous AOE output, which Zeph and Ra are the biggest offenders. This patch was a tiny step towards fixing the game but it doesn't feel any more balanced to me. There needs to be a patch like this every week or two at this rate.
