    DX11 wouldn't necessarily improve anything, and would require rewriting parts of the engine. I'm not sure that's something S2 would want to commit to at this juncture.

    Of course, I'm not S2. I just like pointing out that DX11 isn't a magical upgrade that improves how a game looks; you have to do things with DX11 in addition to providing DX11 support (and even then you'd need DX10 support as well, perhaps, and a dual launcher a la Civilisation V).

    Promised after/soon after release. We got the Map Editor (which is actually quite neat to use, I played around with it the other day quite a few months after release) possibly after a year or so; can't remember the specific timeframe.

    In software development, plans often change. The most recent example of that was the decision to go to 2.5 instead of 3.0, based on the time taken to develop content for "3.0".

    Must be a real challenge to make good bots in these games.

    The dota2 bots right now are pretty retarded. But the AI on some DotA-bot-maps are often pretty good.

    so basically we are told stuff we already know...and bots? rlly? is this all you have? this is your bright innovative idea for trying to keep people to play hon and not move on? because the games struggling to stay alive like a fish flopping out of water

    You guys can give up on the online use of the map editor, god knows I have.

    Game is F2P and they won't waste resources on it unless its to make a buck.

    Hence the BOTS to reel in and keep new players so they can spend money.
    Oh and that dumb mentor system to help new players.

    Now that u mention it if something magically happen and the dual launcher and the better models and the effects come to live this will prob be the ultimate moba experience.

    But the truth is S2 are lazy, not well payed bastards and this things will be only a dream.

    well first of all thanks Maliken for actually informing us about what is going on, we DO appreciate these posts, we just want more of them, more regularly ..

    Iirc you've said before that bots would require a lot of time and effort, and at the end it wouldn't be worth all the trouble, but here you are trying to add them in anyway instead of spending that time creating the fabled custom map support that we are never going to see. Even that small glimmer of hope, the midwars map, seems to have vanished like a fart to the wind.

    I could appreciate all these stability improvements & fixes if they weren't months overdue, and if I wouldn't know the game isn't going to get them for another ten months.
