Saying miss is more like a good habit than mandatory to me. However the most annoying thing to me is when other teammates (that clearly put themselves into ridiculous bad positions like going around blindlessly into the enemy's jungle, or getting into obviously warded places - where not a single miss in the world would save them) and yell at others. The funny part is when they get ganked by a jungler and insta shout OMFG WHY NO MISS. When someone doesen't even notice the enemy team has a jungler in their lineup it shows for complete lack of map awareness and they should die for that tbh. Same thing goes for when they rage and blade others when they're ganked with zero enemy units visible on the map (which obviously includes their lanes).

I like when people alert for misses and I try to do that everytime, but I don't blame others when I'm unexpectadly ganked, nor I care for when people blame me for it. Even if others can help you keep map awareness, it is STILL your responsability to keep track of it.

Some people do use it as an excuse for dieing but sometimes it is justified. Even with wards people are busy trying to last hit, harass and avoid ganks. An enemy could be in ward range for less than a few seconds.

Calling miss and pinging takes you almost no time to do and it can save someones life. Often though you will call miss and people will still blame you for their deaths even though you point out you called it they will still be annoyed at you and find any reason to blame the loss on you later on.

Although you have to remember the enemy can go into fog and tp in a split second so sometimes calling miss can be hard because you may not realise they are missing for a few seconds yourself.

    Press "t"
Say "mid miss" "top miss" "bot miss"
    Smile cause its teamwork

Hell if I'm playing support I'll call miss for the other lanes, time check every 2mins and call that too...
It's communication and teamwork that wins games not ego's, trash talk or G-drops

there is a big flaw in op's theory. he is mid he has alot of freetime to look around the map since mid is pretty "boring". at the same time the sidelane is pulling and getting harassed doing it, denieing vs 2 and harassing the lane via autoatks constantly having apm over 100.

its much easier for mid (btw a good mid only does lasthits if no one is around, lasthit for a deni and ck-> forcing mid to basically "wait" for the creeps to get low) to write for 1 sec.

my personal playstyle is the following:
if i got spare time (even as sidelaner) i watch the minimap and write miss if some1 is missing (btw some1 missing = spare time) and if i am 100% sure the enemy is going for a gank on another lane i ping too. because why the hell not?!

Alphas are never at fault. Remember that

Why are people acting like if they look at the minimap themselves, it will result in their demise? It's not like you're going to miss out on hundreds of gold or get denied 20 times over the course of a second ( the time it takes to look at the mini map and see how many enemies aren't in the lane ). Like someone else said, if you look at the chat box, you're still looking away from the creeps and enemies for a second, so what's the problem?

Double edged sword IMO. Should you call missing? Of course you should. Should your teammates have better map awareness SH!T yes! Here's a good analogy.

If you were walking down the street and saw that someone was 30 seconds away from getting hit by a car, and you don't tell them to get out of the way, is it your fault they got hit? NO. Are you an ******* for not telling them? Yes!

I personally do not like to take the time to remove my hands from their usual position to type out detailed mia's. This is what mics are for. I call mias through voice as should every player since this is a team dependant game based on communication. My all time favorite is when i call mia out loud. The person gets ganked because they dont have sound on then proceed to ***** and tell me to type it. HEHE LAUGHABLE!! KISS MY ASS! UNBELIEVABLE!

I disagree really. There's a difference between looking at a timed MIA message and between looking at your minimap constantly during short intervals.

I'm not sure how you can compare a one time event with constant short intervals, it just doesn't make sense.

In HoN, attacking structures during the absence of creeps is not backdooring.
If someone is utilizing guerrilla style tactics on your structures, it is an acceptable strategy.

and for all of you who disagree, it's obviously a matter of opinion, but let's be real, we know what's going to make someone a better player in the end. That shuts this down. Besides,I've spammed:
    Ss Mid
    Ss Mid
    Ss Mid

Ss Mid - With a mod in game and idiots still die and blame. prove me wrong.

Agreed. I'm not calling anymore MIA's I rather see my teammate's die if they are one of those anti-geniuses blamers.

By not calling MIA or missing you are depriving your team of information, which is not a good idea. Also, if your lane is missing, its even easier for you to simply type, "missing." Just copy the word missing before hand, press enter ctrl + V and enter again. Even if there are wards, assume your team is stupid (sadly, they usually are) and that they didn't look on the minimap (a lot of people don't sadly). It just makes sense to type it, you give your team information using leisure time you have been given because your lane is, gasp, empty.

On a side note, a good rule of thumb is to know what it is you are talking about before you talk about it. Seeing your contempt at religion shows you probably haven't taken much time to learn about it (and obviously not the people who believe in it) and therefore should spend even less time talking about it.

Any who, stop being lazy and type mia, if they complain, there is an ignore function.
Just to address you here.. It's not that im lazy, or don't want to call MIA. It's the fact that people blame for someone not calling missing, when it's clearly their own fault, and they need to take responsibility for it. THAT! makes me reconsider about typing MIA.

But look on the bright side. I guess after reading my own post, I'd say that im implying that im sick of playing with noobs. And since I care about those noobs improving as players(so they no longer **** me over, as i've ****ed over others), I refuse to call MIA for them, that sounds like a good alternative.

    function.
Doesn't take much to distinguish fact and fake, and after real life event's happened which I won't go into.

Lol. please bro. If you're as smart as you type. you should be able to distinguish what's real and what isn't. then again, that's something we can never answer. I'm better off saying that it's impossible because we've never experienced something like that before, rather than believing in some messiah leader and being a follower; also, notice how people tend to get religious before death, lmfao. what an ignorant heathen. I rather go learn about real life facts like slavery. Now, just to end it here. I'm in no way disrespecting all religions, I just stated that religious people aren't logical because if they were logical they would be religious.

    Verbally Dominated.

Only problem with ''not relying on others calling mia'' is that unless you saw them leave, you don't know where they're most likely going, forcing you to play passive even if he's going nowhere near you.

  17. #37
Honestly said...i don't care if my teammates say missing or not, as I got the habit to check the map (solo queue's got me used to it).
Even though i do report them a LOT on the VOIP and people usualy cry about it later when I said it at least 3times before the player being called got ganked...and he says his listening to music or some ****. I just go MAD over it, f*** mad!

They're human. It's an illusion; Like god.

Umm, yeah. OP doesn't seem to listen to what the others are saying and just seems to use this thread as a platform to preach his views rather than trying to discuss this at an equal level.

Anyway, to continue feeding the troll, there's alot of misunderstanding in this thread, due to people talking about two things:

Some are talking about whether you should call MIA or not.

Some are talking about if you should blame SOMEONE ELSE for not calling MIA if you're ganked.

Of course you should call mia. Even if your team mates suck in that they don't check the map, you should still try your best to mitigate that problem by calling mia, for the greater good of the team. Otherwise you're just acting as an elitist bringing your team down just becuase you're better than your team mates.

It's like you're building a bridge and your co-workers suck and get their measurements wrong. It's still your responsibility to tell them they're doing something wrong than let the bridge be built wrongly making it fall apart. Doesn't matter who's fault it is in the end, you could've stopped it.

Quick question for OP, do you ***** when you get ganked mid by a Magmus/Andro/Rampage that no one called missing (assuming you are mid)?
