Janus is a hero which excels at taking out a single enemy hero, but unlike many other heroes with the same specialty, Janus has
very limited snare and CC and no escape mechanism to speak of. He makes up for this lack of any sort of controlled blink or stealth with being a hero which can take his share of pain from the enemy. With his second skill he is always a somewhat unwanted target to attack, which gives Janus the ability to get in close with his first skill and do work with his third skill and his ultimate. While being best at ganking and dishing out damage, Janus can very easily disrupt the flow of the enemy with a set of soft disables in his first and third skill giving a semi-support role as well.

What happens if you use eye of the void and the target doesn't cast a spell?
I assume the idea with it is to teleport behind them and then push them toward where you are going to reappear, but the spell seems a tad overpowered at level 4 where you'd be able to spam it, and if the target didn't have the option of not casting a spell you could very easily burn long cd ultimates for 50 mana
i like the idea of this hero, but feels to me that the spells have a bit to short CD
in regards to their power, but i might be wrong
also, another fudging self-deny hero :P

Shiroi: Nothing happens if noone uses a spell when you use Eye of the Void. In that sense it's a skillshot based timing alone.
Eye of the Void only gives spells it counter a 3 second added cooldown, you do not put it on cooldown as if it was cast! I should probably make that clear.
WeXaztor: I agree with the cooldown note and I've made adjustments. The self-denying is up for questioning but I personally don't get mad if a Accursed player denies himself, that's just skilled play. When a Devourer does however -.-.
All in all, I feel like this hero is missing something that will make it great, but I just cant figure it out yet. That is why I published an early draft.

The mana burn is pretty excessive. Most non-int heroes barely have 400 mana on that level.
Push has a lot of anti-synergy with being melee.

I agree with the mana burn part. Perhaps I should move that to the ultimate or I could just nerf it, which I shall now :P
I am aware of pushes having anti-synergy with melee (who isnt :P), but this hero is not ment to be the one who slams down on one enemy with heavy melee attacks. He is supposed to run around the field, disrupting enemies from engaging Janus's allies and putting others in favorable position for his allies to take care of them.

700 range push also puts most enemies out of cast range.

Indeed. Making it hard for enemies to engage Janus's allies who are most certainly behind Janus. That way he can save teammates from damage by pushing away oncoming enemies while the rest of the team deal with other parts of the enemy team or he can push enemies who are lurking at the rim of the battle (like Thunderbringer for example) into the fray, making them taste the beautiful AoE damage that is going on there.

Then you should give it a longer CD and add a slow. At the moment there's little point to having a low CD push, because at the later stages of a fight (people retreating) this skill won't be too useful.

Removed the extra range from Ancient Thrust. Thinking of making it an immobilize instead of flickish spell. Not sure.
Added a suggestion for an ultimate.

I like the idea most definately but I feel that his 1st skill is a bit weird (but fine enough) and that his 3rd skill doesn't seem to fit the character.
I really like the mana burn but I think the damage done to self should be physical and that your skill should do physical damage equal to the amount of mana burned.
Is he a ranged str hero or a melee one? Your title and what you actually say conflicts.
P.S One tiny thing that is an opinion: Make his first skill not push, he just dives forward dealing the slow and damage (Maybe nerf the damage of that skill - Pesti's stun does 200 - Then again this only slows)
Edit: I see you added an Ultimate - Kinda coolI see you really want to focus on the whole battle-disruption and confusion thing so I am going to take back what I said before and say that your 2nd skill is out of place with your hero

Couldn't you just make the ultimate simpler by making it do the same thing in all 3 cases, just eith a different point of focus?
Like allow it to push enemies in all cases. One version causes it ro push them away target ally cinstantly (effectively protecting him), one would protect target area and the other singles out an enemy by pushing everyone else away.

Chillywater - It's str melee. I think I've removed the parts which conflicted with that image. And yeah, your absolutely right, the mana burn needs to be changed.
Yeah, that's a good idea Skyve and I thought about it. The problem that struck me was that the push on an ally would only protect versus melee heroes and the push on enemies would be very situational (and even anti-synergetic with the team I'm making). But making it push on all three would streamline the spell and make it easier to understand\use. There is a loss on both sides, but honestly it would be a better skill with the changes you are proposing. I'm gonna keep it at is for the moment, but I've got that idea in the back of my mind.
Redid his second skill. Not sure what Blood Trade should grant allies, went with damage for now so the team can deal a good chunk of damage to anyone Janus pushes into the team. Perhaps it should just heal them or buff their defenses?
Why would you force a hero to run laps through your own team? I'd rethink how you apply the buff.

Doesn't have to be an AoE HEAL, but yeah, just make it an AoE effect on activation. The other way just is unnecessarily complicated, and disallows you from auto-attacking if you want to make use of it.
