So I was fiddling around with a piece of clay in the studio when I realized I created something that looks like bubbles but a lot more aged and angrier. From there the idea snowballed into what I think would be a very good idea for a bubbles alt avatar: Disgruntled Office Worker Bubs. I thought it would be funny to contrast the carl sagan inspired default bubbles that is always at peace with this one that is just neurotic to the extreme. So let me begin by describing him since I can't upload the sketches I made, not to mention they're quite shitty.
Let's start with the appearance.
He wears a white shirt, untucked in several areas but on the bottom he is only wearing boxers and socks. He has a tie that is loosely hung over his neck.
In his right hand he is holding a stapler (yeah you can guess what his melee attack is) and in his left he's dragging his briefcase, which is like a bit more than half his size.
His surf would be him throwing his briefcase, whether its tumbling or just sliding in the same manner that his default shell does doesn't really matter, it's up for grabs. But following the briefcase is a trail of flying papers that can disappear over time.
I imagine his silence skill as him abruptly straightening up and yelling "SHUT UPPP!!!"
His hide skill is him lying on his side in the fetal position, rocking to and fro while clutching his briefcase. I think this is the best part of the idea because people usually wait near bubs when he is in the shell to attack him when he comes out, and with this animation it just looks like they're all staring at him like he's a freak. It's even more funny when you chain his skills together, the SHUT UP silence following his fetal position hide skill.
His ult would be a rubberband ball at the center, and rubber bands attached to the enemies. They snap just like the kelp field.
That's just what I'd like to see. I'd certainly pay for it.
