I have been playing HoN without sound for several months now and I wish to rectify this issue. HoN is the only application without sound, there is nothing wrong with my sound card or drivers, the in-game sound is not muted, the correct playback device is selected and I have even reinstalled the game several times. Nothing seems to work. In fact, reinstalling only screwed all my graphics so I have constant FPS lag which renders the game unplayable.
All help is much appreciated.
P.S. I could not locate the console log. The only file located in the game directory was the startup cfg.
It is playing the sounds and detecting the output/input devices fine. Id say go into your settings in hon and fiddle with the device settings until it works so just switch between the devices until you hear something.
I did that for 30mins one night...
Solved by reinstaling HoN into C:/ and not Program Files

What he means is he installed HoN into the C: directory, not into the Program Files folder. Which can be a good or bad thing, depending.
