    As a support should I...

So I've been playing a lot of support especially

So at the beginning of the game should I buy 2 wards or get a courier?

I usually check to see if someone else buys wards and if they do, I get the courier upgraded, if not I buy 2 wards and when I get to 200 gold I upgrade the courier.

What should be the right decision?

Upgrade courier first or buy wards first?

buy the wards first if no1 bought em since the chicken won't be used till around 2 minutes mark. By then you should have enough money to upgrade it right when the mid hero needs his bottle.

Up the courier, and buy 1 ward.

This is best when you get the good long lane with your carry and do not have to worry about warding a pull camp. But if you get the enemy long lane it's best to buy 2 wards first and then upgrade courier later. Your mid always needs a ward for rune more than a courier, and not warding the enemy pull camp could mean losing the long lane where the enemy carry usually lanes at.

Buy 2 wards, blights, hp pot and 3 minor totems. You will have 200g at 2min mark if you don't die and don't take any last hits, upgrade courier then.

That is what I do always if I go to long lane. If other player ups couri that's nice coz I can get Mana Battery instead. If I go to short lane I give wards for long lane coz they need them more (pull ward and rune ward, long lane is ganged easier)

I find myself purchasing wards as support at the start and warding a rune spot to give my mid teammate rune control, and fill the rest of my inventory with stats and consumables. Before the two minute mark, upgrade the courier allowing a jungler or mid-laner to take advantage of the flying courier early.

i should add: use the flying cour that you bought at the start to block some 0:30 and 1:00 jungle spawn if they have a jungler

Depending on your lineup, if your babysitting the long lane i dont think buying the flying courrier is a good idea, you are going to lose against almost any other babysitters. Your harrassing is not gonna be enough, and you'll lose this lane or tie it at best if the other team is not that good. The flying courier is overrated in your 1400`s and 1500`s bracket. You will be able to buy the flying courier at the 2-3 minute mark before your mid needs it. And because there is just not enough players with enough skills to micro the flying courier all over the map. It just not worth it in your bracket.

im a purly hard support (7.1 wards placed etc etc) so i guess you can trust my opinion on this one.
    1) it depends on the bracket you are playing in, if you are playing anything above 1600s you need to up the curior first and then get a ward. The reason for this is because in the higher brackets, they WILL defend thier pull (sometimes mid comes too to help to defend the you warding the pull), upgrading hte curior allows you to use it to scout out that area before you go to ward, which could mean the difference in you staying alive or getting bloodlusted. Use the ward you got at start to ward the pull and then just take 2 creeps from the wave and boom, you'll have a ward for the rune also.

    Tips,
-ward the rune around the 1-1:30 mark so you can see if they go to ward it too, which sets up for a potential counter ward

-when scouting with the curior, rmb to put the shiled on it

-camp rune spots early game to make sure your mid or you gets the rune (it dosent matter as long as their mid dosent get it, its a win)

-later in the game were ward placement is valuable, use rev wards for sight of rune spots (it could also lead to good counter wards too)
